Whenever I see something new, i tend to find info....
I stumbled on an interview instead...

First of all, we would like to ask you to introduce yourself: Who are UnsraW?
UnsraW: UnsraW are: vocals Yuuki, guitar Rai and Tetsu. The bass player is Jun and the drummer is Sho.

What is the meaning behind the name ‘UnsraW’, and why did you pick this name?
UnsraW: We won’t tell you, please use your imagination.

How did you meet each other?
UnsraW: Yuuki and Sho had played in a band together before. Tetsu, Rai, and Jun have known each other for some time now and have played music together in the past as well.

The music you play is pretty hard and heavy. What artists inspire you?
UnsraW: We are inspired by lots of artists and different genres of music; we learn from there and look for our own style of music.

Do you consider yourself part of the visual kei scene? If so, why did you decide to pick the visual-kei scene instead of the general rock/metal/gothic scene?
UnsraW: Firstly, because Visual Kei is the genre which includes more stage appeal. Secondly, compared with other genres of music, Visual kei is not really categorized based on the type of music, so we can express ourselves very widely.

You're still a very young band, but you've already gained quite a lot of fans, including overseas ones. How does it feel to gain popularity so fast?
UnsraW: We don’t feel it at all, but we are very honoured to hear it.

You’ve just celebrated your firstst anniversary as a band. Looking back on this year, how has it been and what has been the most memorable moment for each of you?
UnsraW: It has only been eight months since we started (note: Their OHP lists April 2006 as their start date). Nevertheless, we did our best and already we were able to have three one-man live shows. We have good sales, and we are very thankful for that.

Yuuki: We had a one-man concert as our first concert. I am very happy that many people listened and felt our music. I am very satisfied with this year, I felt all emotions (delight, anger, sorrow and pleasure).
Rai: I cannot say how it was clearly. But I experienced more than I ever had before in my life.
Tetsu: So many things happened in this year since we started, sometimes it was tough. But I enjoyed it very much.
Jun: The most impressing thing was the encore at our one-man concert on the 26th of March. When I think back on this year, I had so many things to do; I feel I have been playing more than a year in this band.

Your first concerts were seven secret concerts, over a span of two months. Why did you decide to do these secretly?
UnsraW: That too is a secret. (laughs)

Can you tell us something more about your music and your lyrics? Is there any message in particular that you want to transmit through both your music and lyrics?
UnsraW: “Love”.

Do you think that your music will also attract listeners from outside Japan who aren’t familiar with Japanese music yet?
UnsraW: We are confident that we can attract them to our music.

As for yourself, are you interested in other visual kei bands or do you prefer to listen to other genres of music?
UnsraW: We don’t listen to just one genre but always try to listen to the newest bands out there.

Yuuki, in some songs you growl in many parts. Aren’t you afraid of damaging your voice with this?
Yuuki: I have not worried about it recently. At the beginning, I practiced too much and often had a sore throat.

Another question for Yuuki: In your former band, CoRe the Child, you also played piano next to being the vocalist. Do you intend to play some parts for UnsraW as well, or do you use it to help you with composing, for example?
Yuuki: I don’t have any plans for it, but if it should become necessary, then I would do so. For composing, I always use the piano, synthesizer, guitar, and bass.

You’ve recently released the mini-album –Calling-. How did the process of writing and recording go?
UnsraW: We had strong emotions and ideas for it, so the process was very hard and stoic.

For people who don't know you yet, they first notice UnsraW’s catchy and outstanding visual appearance. Do you think this dark and gothic image with masks represents your music as well?
UnsraW: Yes. While we are categorized into visual kei, which is very foreign from the Japanese culture, we are careful to make a synergetic effect for music and visual performance.

Your costumes have been designed by ID Japan and your masks by Screaming Mad George. How was it to have the opportunity to work with these well-known designers?
UnsraW: We feel very honoured to work with the people who have worked with the artists whom we admired when we were small.

Why did you decide to wear masks? Is there any specific meaning behind them?
UnsraW: It is absolutely necessary for a part of our performance.

It seems it could be difficult to perform with these masks during your lives. Are they comfortable enough to perform in any way you want without restricting you?
UnsraW: It is kind of difficult. (laughs)

You have released the album Spiral Circle ~Complete~ in Europe on April 20th. What expectations do you have with this release?
UnsraW: We are very happy to perform not only in Japan but also globally. We wish our music to reach as many people as possible.

Do you have future plans to perform in Europe as well, or in other foreign countries?
UnsraW: If we get the chance, we would very much like to do so. Please support us when that time comes.

What are your other plans you have for UnsraW’s future?
UnsraW: We have a one-man concert at Shibuya O-West on 23rd August and a mini-album being released in August as well.

Please give a final message for your fans.
UnsraW: Please look forward to our super crazy and cool music and live performances!

@dakkii i only have 1 of their Maxi-singles -9-, heard some of their other songs on my friend's mp3 player & watched their PVs on youtube... but i intend to get their albums(as well as some other bands albums) when i go on my trip to Japan.. xD when i 1st heard their songs, they'd already won a place on my "albums-&-dvds-to-buy-when-i-arrive-at-japan" list :D

any1 interested to see how Yuuki & Shou looked when they were previously in CoЯe the Child? i think i do have a pic somewhere in my laptop... xD

UnsraW released their 3rd Maxi Single called Lustful Days & a Live-DVD titled Screaming Birthday on 27th June 2007.. unfortunately i havent been able to get my hands on any of their latest releases yet :( :( i wan their songs soooooo much!!! does any1 have their latest single?? T_T

i bought lustful days, but then lost it >__< i'm so mad at myself... so i felt justified in downloading it... it's good... Dust to Dust is still my favorite though :/

dakii: I KNOWW!!! ALL THE BANDS I LOVE ARE RELEASING STUFF WITHIN THE NEXT TWO MONTHS!!! Seriously... I don't know where to find the money for it... T_T But i'll definitely but Kein and Abel at the top of my list... Good for you you have a music store there that plays jrock...

Screaming Birthday was awesome!!! I don't know how I can describe it... And I bought it along with Lustful days in Play-Asia. I swear, since I live in the Philippines, Japan time is only one hour advanced and I was soo happy that I got my order on the day itself, around noon time...

BTW, has anyone seen Screaming Birthday? It's Awesome. I know I suck but I cried on the first five minutes because I can't believe I have it... T_T
And Unsraw has 2 new mini albums, Kein and Abel. Abel is coming out on 8/29 while Kein will be out on 9/26. UnsraW has been busy recording lately. Theyre like working for 20 hours a day lately...

OMG!! Gaxnela!! u have Screaming Birthday...!!! i'm so freakin jealous!!! how isit? i heard its really good. but we cant get much stuff over here in singapore.. usually i get my fren to buy wadever i want & mail them to me from Japan. but she only mails me everything in one go.. like.. once every 3 or 4 months? so i always have to wait :(
so... yes!! yes please~!! i'd love to have the songs if u dun mind uploading.. LOVE U TO BITS ! :lol:

Regarding the Screaming Birthday, I bought it online from http://play-asia.com along with Lustful Days. The DVD is AWESOME... I thought I would get it a week after the release date, but I actually got it on the day itself... around noon time in your country... since we have the same timezone.

And good news. Someone in Youtube was kind enough to up Maria, Under the Skin, -9- and Holy Sink from the DVD. I think you can find those by yourself... LOL

Yeah... That's true, but at lest we know that they are awesome live!!!

BTW, It seems that Yuki's Gucci ring and Justin Davis pendant was grabbed by an audience in their live around 2 to 3 days ago... I hope who has it will return it... And It seems that they are going to start recording Kein tomorrow!!!

Yay! My first post in this thread!

I recently got into this band, they are sooo amazing. I am officially in love with their song "Gate of Death".

They very little little bit remind me of Dir En grey, but they are really quite different.

Okay, a lot of good news (sorry I haven't updated in a while...)

First of all, Abel is SOLD OUT!!! (Haha... I was able to secure a copy, but I shall be receiving it at October 3 along with Kein and other stuff...)

Second, CLJ records is gonna release a compilation of Abel, Kein and Lustful Days around mid November. In case you don't know, CLJ records is a European label that releases music in Europe. They release stuff of other bands too like Plastic Tree, Ayabie, GazettE, Wizard, and just a few weeks ago, Versailles. For more details, please visit http://www.cljrecords.com/cms/

The other two times Jun has written about Shou (or at least mentioning him...), UnsraW is in the middle of recording something... Or about to start.

The first one was on 7/17/2006 in his own blog (link above) whe he mentioned Shou giving a hint (about a secret live). Yuuki mentioned about their recording on his blog at his 8/1 entry, Shou mentioned it on his 7/19 and 7/30 blog entries, and Tetsu mentioned it in his blog in his 7/17 and 7/29 entries.-9- was released on 8/25...

The second one was on 8/31/2007 where he and Shou went to the Nagoya castle. Yuuki mentioned the recording in his blog entries on 7/7, 7/15, 7/16 9/1 and 9/5 Tetsu mentioned it in his 7/9. Shou mentioned it in his 7/1, 7/7, 7/8 and 7/9 entry and KEIN was released 9/26...

The latest one was on 11/20/2007 (today) where he and Shou watched SAW IV. Hopefully they would announce an upcoming release next month...

After reading the interview:
That interview was really deep right? Usually when I read VK interviews, I don't THINK about them because they're usually pretty superficial. But Yuuki's obviously aware of what's going on in the world. So all that anger in his lyrics WAS real. I know what you mean Gaxnela about seeing him in a different way.
The end, where he said he hates cliches, even though it was, it really touched me. I don't see it as just a message for Kansai fans lol:D

Also it seems like he really acknowledges, respects, and connects with his fans. makes me want to see them live that much more.

Yeah, after reading the interview I view Yuki in a whole new way. He really is serious about music and thinks "connecting" with the listeners and fans is very important, which makes me respect him alot more. And he really does have a sombre childhood, doesn't he? I understand his feelings because I went through that when I was young too (still am xD) but now it's alright.

And about your comment Gax, it's true about what you said about the Japanese Goverment, I always wonder why they cover it all up when the truth is laid bare.. Sometimes it makes me fume, reading about it in newspapers and stuff.. But hey, the same applies to all governing bodies. =.=

Well, you might be dissapointed but think of it this way: That concert was one year after their formation as a band and releasing that much music in a year is something. And of course, the songs in the album have been edited a countless number of times so you can't just imagine how they must have sounded in the recording.

Wow, I haven't been here in a while. BUT BUT I just bought Abel & Kein, and they are so amazing!!! Everyone go out and get them to support UnsraW!! :D
And if you get the Europe version like I did, that has both EPs combined, you get the bonus track LUST!
And as a side note, I don't think I've ever seen a band look so nightmarishly scary before...

Okay, on 12/13, Around 4 pm, Yuuki had a blog entry which said something like:

Is it healthy?

I finally conceived a child this morning.
I wish to have an easy delivery.

Then on the same day, around 11 pm, Shou wrote something like:

The soul was put into Yuuki's child today.

I pray it grows up well (laugh)

(Note: that's just how I translated it using the help of excite's translator. It is not 100% accurate)

There, well, I guess that meant they were finished composing something...

But that was around eleven days ago. Right now, they are done recording and were just waiting for any announcement of a release.

I haven't seen their live DVD release but Iave seen them "live" about 12 times, and that includes one of their first lives. I have always enjoyed them, and love their death metal. I just hope that they maintain the hard visual and "costume" angle. It seems that with every CD the hair gets a tad shorter and the costumes less detailed and heavy. And I don't know why but at Closet Child in Shinjuku, there place in the Used CD section seems to have a few too many CDs in it. Of course most of them are the pre-Unsraw CDs from Yuki's old band. Still... one wonders why so much is being turned in for re-sale.

I know how you feel. I like their death look as well and wecan see their look getting more refined and less... scary. I miss their old look and hope their next look willbe heavy again like the old times...

Regarding the CDs... Maybe their are a lot of CDs from Yuuki's previous band because a lot of the songs were slow? lol I do not know but CORE THE CHILD's songs were more mellow and and sound more sad aside from Distribe.

The best of CD? Do you mean Spiral Circle?

Well, after that, If you are asking what I liked the most, it would be Calling.

Oh, and if you want to see their live DVD, alucard176 and I (ihavenoideaidunno) from Youtube upped the DVD song by song. I wasn't able to rip it fully, because it won't work if I try to rip the whole concert together so, it's song by song. ^_^

With regard to the softening image of Unsraw.... I guess I am not really educating or surprising anyone - or maybe I am - but 95 percent of visual bands have no interest in visual at all and put on make-up and costumes just to attract a fanbase. The more popular they become, the more they figure they can wipe it off so they can attarct a wider audience - a audience that likes their music but doesn't care for the visual. With the exception of Mana (Malice/Moi Dix Mois) and Kisaki and a few others who are true viusal performers, this is the sickening reality of VK and has RUINED the asthetic value of more bands than I care to name... Kagerou, Kagrra, Despairs Ray, 12012, and the biggest turncoats of all time... Dir en grey. All these bands use to be INSANELY visual when they started, and instead of bucking tradition and deciding to carve a name for themselves, they caved in and went *normal*. Has everyone forgotten the foundations laid by X Japan? Apparently so.

Some years ago I was interviewed in SHOXX and the editor asked me to give a closing message to VK bands. Mine was simple... there desperately needs to be a band who stops following the "get popular - take off the makeup" tradition; a band that decides NOT to follow Dir en grey and decides to lead a new path as X Japan did. This country so desperately needs a major level VK act with BALLS.... the same balls that KISS or Marilyn Manson had when they began.

Sorry.... ranting! But that is what happens after 8 years on the scene.

Unlike you, I have only been into this for 10 months (lol, you can call me a n00b...) and I am not exactly what you could call an adult but within this short time, I also have realized this sad, disappointing and painful truth. A lot of bands that start to make it suddenly lose their appearance, their own identity and brace the others where it would even be better if they are attracted by the music and not by maybe their pretty face or good looks, and not by their stand in life. And because of this, the fans from the beginning leave.

I don't really know but I don't think Mana, Kisaki and the like are counted simply because they are centered on themselves and are not on a band. I'm just trying to say that the reason why a lot of VK bands turn out like that is simply because they are a band; While most of them want to just play from their heart, at least someone would either want something else from the band or lose confidence in their music because of their appearance and I think that's the reason why certain bandmembers leave a band or why a band disbands.

When VK bands lose their appearance and go plain, does it mean that they become greedy and want more money by attracting more people? Does it mean that they just get tired of their costumes? Does it mean that they are too old and should just "grow up"? Does it mean that they feel confident already that they don't have to wear anything unusual to gain attention? Does it mean that they have lost their passion? Does it mean that they can't show the truth of their music anymore so they just stop dressing up? Does it mean that their music is not telling the truth anymore? Does it mean that there is nothing different with their music now? Does it mean that they are afraid that their current fans would leave them if they go back to their old self? Does it mean that they are full of lies?

Seriously, I don't know.

I'm not saying that I'm expecting every band to become like this because that would be the last thing I want to happen. Like you, I am looking for a band that would be able to change how the industry works and tthe balls to make every band realize the true and most pure purpose of being VK.

UnsraW is still a young band and I hope that they won't change. ^_^

this is an interesting discussion...

i've liked vk for 5.5 years now, and i've seen some changes too... and i'm not even completely sure of my opinion on this. i'm impressed with bands that retain their visual image, even when trying to make it overseas, because it really IS ballsy and challenging. you have to have guts to just say "@#$% the stereotype of what a band and what a male is 'supposed' to look like", especially in such a brutal field as the music business.

on the other hand, i'm a fan of the music first. the clothes, in the end, don't matter much to me, except as something pretty to look at, and a reason to buy those damn expensive magazines. true, costumes give the band character and add another dimension to their art, and as someone who literally thinks in visuals only, i can appreciate that. but i love UnsraW's music, even if they dressed in potato sacks. and in the end, i think they'd agree with me. the music is the reason i like UnsraW, and the visuals are a bonus... so i guess my opinion is, appreciate the bonuses while they last, but that also is just that-- a bonus, and not even the reason you liked the band in the firs place. stay loyal to the music, not the look.

and i'm going to say it, as much as it pains me too: the visual kei era is coming to a close. it may be years before it ends, but we're no longer in its climax. this is sad, as the vk movement spurned a lot of bands that wouldn't necessarily have been successful otherwise to have a chance, because it was 'trendy' to like tiny bands. and this was good, and i'll be heartbroken when it ends. UnsraW seems to be going strong, and i don't want them to be pulled down with vk if it does fall, so in anything that will keep them producing music, i support them.

then there's also the Dir en grey case study. i dont want to turn this into a post about diru, so i'll keep this short only because its a good example. bands grow and change... maybe not "grow up", but evolve into something different. when the clothes start holding you back in terms of creating your art (not necessarily 'selling out'), i see no reason to keep them. it would be worse to keep the clothes without the intensions, you know? that would be selling out to me. theyre just clothes, and the reason theyre a band in the first place is to express their artistic vision. so vk is no longer a part of that. i dont blame them. the reason i believe vk is dyeing is because it's lost its integrity... it really isn't about artistic vision anymore... it's about looking pretty in order to get a fanbase a squealing girls. visual kei has become the new "boy band" movement, and that ruins the art for the bands that really do believe in vk. im not pointing fingers, but it's there. UnsraW is one of those bands that believes in visual kei... so honestly, i wouldnt blame them for getting the @#$# out of it.

in general regards to UnsraW, though, they are still a youngish band, and they've pretty much proven themselves... though the costumes might seem lighter now, they are still there in a big way, and there's always the possibility that with a new release, they'll become an even bigger presence. so keep faith, i guess, because it's really not that bad.

While I am just the most superficial guy in town I guess.... my motto is simple: NO VISUAL... NO INTEREST.

When a visual band stops being visual, I stop buying CDs, and that is the God's honest truth. I was a HUGE fan of Kagerou and Despairs Ray from the beginning, but when they dropped the visual... I left the next day and never looked back.

To me, VK is all about the synergy of energy and image. I don't speak Japanese and don't really care what they sing about anyway. My interest extends to the "energy" aspect of their music and the visual medium it is played out with - their costumes and on-stage performance. That is all the juice that I need. VK is kinda like pro-wrestling for me, though I don't go to pro-wrestling. Nobody goes to pro-wrestling for the Olympic style sport of it. They go there to release tension, watch showmanship, and listen to guys rant and rage. Testosterone.... it's all about raising it.

** Quick side note before I forget ***
Gaxnela... you're certainly no noob for being a 10-month fan. In contrast.. I am a "get-a-life / loser" for still listening at 45 and enjoying VK convo with 20-year-old girls. Jesus... I just cannot grow up!!! And yeah... I know there is a well-earned name for it, but I don't wanna hear it.

Anyway.... one thing that VK bands have to face upon the least bit of fame.... is their management. These old men who finance the bands have major pull in the band's image. Rumor has it that the Key Party band, Neil (pronounced.. Nail), who were one of the first indies heavy VK bands to make it major before the millennium, broke up after one major release CD (Razor)because they were - reportedly - told by their management to stop being visual.

The reason for why a band doffs its image can be vast and complicated. The bottom line remains this... so many VK bands were inspired by Marilyn Manson, yet none thus far have had the balls to reach Marilyn's level of dedication to the art. As I have heard so many times before in response to this whole debate...

In America and Europe, Goth visual is lifestyle; in Japan it's a costume.

So, If you want to skip my rant and go to the good part, scroll down my post until you reach a heart!

And I just finished sending a birthday letter to Tetsu yesterday (which made it in 5 seconds before 12am Japan time, so I'm still not late!) and then I saw Bunshinsaba's rant which made me sad and think that maybe I should have included my previous post (and of course use a translator!)...

I will just keep it short now.

I am faithful to this genre or movement or whatever you call it because if it weren't for Visual Kei, the genre, I wouldn't be here and I wouldn't have known this band (and other bands of course). In music, I look at the visuals as a standard along with the music itself, not a bonus because this is in fact, Visual Kei. If I was not looking for how they look like, then why am I listening to Visual Kei? If I just want some plain heavy metal or rock, then I would just listen to some American or European band. There are somethings that can't be expressed by music alone and I think that's why this movement or genre was created. We might not be able to understand what the lyrics try to say (even with the translations because Yuuki writes in codes or something that require me to ask my friend... lol) but because of their make up and costumes, we can achieve a better understabding of where the band is coming from. I feel that because of their costumes, their music stops souning generic and even with your eyes closed you can feel the difference.

When I was days old into this, I was amazed at how the different bands looked like and I knew that they were coming from somewhere I can't reach and I had this feeling that if I listen to them, they would take me there and I would understand why everything went that way. To me, Visual Kei is not about getting popular, it's not about attracting more fans, it's about being sincere. It's about telling the truth. It's a f*cking lifestyle.

About the management/record label, It is one more of the painfil truths in this scene. Record labels that have very visual bands have give very little in return (they don't seem pay bands a lot) so bands switch to a bigger or a more popular record label but once they get there, they have to drop their visual attitude and bring more money in by attracting a bigger fanbase.

I don't know, but it seems like the whole world is against Visual Kei that it is hard for the bands to pursue their Visual attitude.

And I also don't get it why Visual Kei just seems to be like an excuse to wear costumes and make up if it is in fact a lifestyle.

gaxnela- our statements seem kind of contradictory, but i actually agree with most of what you're saying. the visuals you can almost hear through the music... its like a story that's come to life... that's become 3-D. but im still a music purist, i guess, and i like the music in that i wouldnt just switch out UnsraW or Dir en grey or Sadie for an american band if they didnt have the sparkly costumes just for the language. i disagree when people say "oh, you dont know what they're saying", because true, we dont speak japanese, but you can feel the emotions, which are what music is about. there's this range of colors and feelings that ive received from this music... so i guess to me, i call a band visual if they evoke a visual response in me... its hard to explain x_x ack. but my point is, dont throw away music because its not in english, because you can still tell what its saying, what its expressing. music is like the communal human language, and thus i really dont believe in language barriers in it. also, visual kei is more than costumes [TO ME], its about if the band has some sort of visual embedded in the music as well... like, everyone knows Dir en grey no longer dress in visual kei style, right? but i still think theyre a very visual band... i mean, the music evokes these amazingly clear visuals in your head... besides, you can tell as a band they think visually, as when they release singles, they also release promo artwork with those singles... its like that "something more" of VK costumes, except in a different medium... plus theyve hired this artist that they work with a lot, and the art really fits with the work. i could go into more, but again, this isnt the Dir en grey thread XD in UnsraW's specific case also, i kind of see their costumes as a whole as symbolic. im probably reading waaaay too much into this, but you know their whole masks thing? the masks as slowly becoming less pronounced and dramatic, as do the clothes, and it almost seems to me like stripping off the layers/social and personal "masks" to reveal the truth... like the ugly mud of society covering everything, but every once in a while you catch a glimpse of beauty underneath, or even in the "mud" itself. i see this in the lyrics too, i guess XD ok, thats enough hypothesizing for now...

america/europe vs. japan SLASH lifestyle vs. costume~ i actually think its the other way around. who else outside of marilyn manson maintains a lifestyle/image comparable to VK? the glam metal bands or yesteryear dont even come close to the sorts of things VK artists shimmy into... sure, marilyn manson is extreme, but he's also one man and we're talking about a MOVEMENT in japan... as a whole, i think japan still wins in the extreme-o-meter, and if you look at some of the artists like mana or kisaki or ANYONE in the lolita thing (hard core rules involved there) or whatever, it is a lifestyle, definitely. it's also something you'd never see in a million years here... not on that scale.

Just for the record - if there even is one - I would never consider Dir en grey as visual kei any more no matter what they write about. Even their vocalist made it clear in a Shoxx interview (It think it was) that he no longer considers DEG visual... and that was four years ago!! Heck... I don't even consider bands like Despairs Ray, Alice Nine, etc - all of whom have shed serious make-up, hairstyle, and outfits - to be visual. In Japan, such bands would struggle to be referred to as what the J-fans call "light visual."

It all comes down to a matter of esthetics and opinion. To me, the first signs of a "visual exit" are a drop in eye and face make-up. Flashy costumes aside (even Elton John wears costumes), if a bands isn't "dolling up" their face, then...
I mean, would kabuki be kabuki if the performers didn't wear make-up? The whole idea of visual - from the Japanese perspective - is to create an alter-ego; a character through visual design. And it's pretty hard to do that when you come on stage with a splash of eye liner and wearing a T-shirt and lace-up leather pants. And acting crazy or wild on stage isn't visual... it's just plain "rock" or "punk". Every pioneer of glam or visual related rock - David Bowie, KISS, New York Dolls, all had one thing in common... they used make-up as a forefront to a persona that was visual and character oriented.

My two-cents.

Yeah, Dir en grey is definitely not Visual Kei anymore and I would just laugh if someone still says so. I agree with both of you. I think that alice nine. started their "visual exit" with Zekkei Shoku... Yeah...

I guess its hard to be loyal to both VK and the bands. Yes, it's painful but VK IS dying. Wouldn't you rather still have the band that you love making music than them dying along with VK?

On December 13, 2007, the PS2 video game Spectral Gene was released with 天空への回廊(Tenkuu he no Kairou, translated as Corridor Way to Heaven) as Opening Song and ヰタ・マキニカリス(Wita Makinarisu) as Ending Song by Heinrich Von Ofterdingen with Jun as a guest bassist.

In Heinrich's Spectral Gene site, Jun's bass is said to give the music a new pulse, like a living thing. Baude-Laire was also mentionedand it also said that it appears in the sound track. I guess they have a track there, I'm just not sure what.

But seriously, if Yuuki is in a hospital right now, in a hospital bed, I want to chain him to it for one whole fxcking week. Let him not go to the other upcoming lives. That would be enough time for him to realize all the crappines he has been doing lately and then he would realize that he should take better care of himself. ^_^

Oh, if he's not in a hospital, then any other place is fine, as long as he won't be leaving that spot for some period of time. >D

About Yuuki's condition and future lives

Because Vo. Yuuki suddenly got sick,

the tour this time was held with the remaining 4 members, Rai, Tetsu, Jun, and Shou.

To all the fans, fellow bands, and industry people,

we have caused much trouble and worry.

We are deeply sorry.

In addition, we are thankful from the bottom of our hearts to the fans

who gave us warm encouragement and hot cheers,

regardless of how the lives were held with just 4 people.

With regards to Yuuki's condition,

just prior to the tour, he was beset with a high fever and pain in his lungs.

After that, when there were no signs of recovery from his illness, he went back to the hospital for some screenings.

They found what might be a major disease in his lung,

and so he's going to a specialized hospital to undergo more detailed screening.

With regards to Yuuki's appearance in future lives,

we are unable to do anything in this situation except to wait for the results of the screening.

Shou also posted an entry reflecting about their live without Yuuki. It really made me go "aww" because I can feel his sincerity.

As much as a lot of people have stared to assume his sickness, we still cannot say, for the results haven't been officially announced and let us just hope for the most positive result (although I really doubt that the results would be positive, to be honest). But seriously, I don't think it can get any worse from this, the results aside, so hopefully, everything gets better after the results get out.

About the future lives

Because of Yuuki's sudden illness, we have caused much trouble and worry.

Starting from today, Yuuki underwent detailed screenings at a specialty clinic,

but in order to determine the nature of the suspected disease, numerous screenings are necessary,

and so it'll take several more days before the screening results come through.

With regards to the Tokyo/Nagoya/Osaka 2MAN TOUR - DEATH MATCH -

that starts from 3/1 with RENTRER EN SOI

as well as

the 3/6 event「Unknown shudder…vol.3」sponsored by SCREW,

because Yuuki is in no condition to perform, in response to that,

the members, staff, and industry people had a discussion.

We explored various options, and in the worst case scenario, we even considered canceling,

but instead of canceling,

we reached the conclusion that we'd hold the lives

with the 4 remaining members, Rai, Tetsu, Jun, and Shou, and add in Yuuki's playback vocals.

And so right now we are preparing for that end.

To all the fans and industry people,

Shou wrote a new blog entry. It's regarding Yuuki's conditon. Apparently, this "disease" is quite complex, as Shou said so there have to be more screening tests done. Because of that, UnsraW would perform without Yuuki on their lives for April. He also said that because Yuuki is fighting this conditon, the whole band is fighting against it as well and also said that he (Shou) will be happy if we support them too.

If you send fanmail (everyday lol), I think it would also cheer them up but they might have a difficulty having it translated if you write it in English. If you use a translator, they might have difficulty trying to interpret which might cause miscommunication. I sent my last fanmail in English and I don't know if they understood it or not. If you put really basic words and phrases, they might get it but oh well.

My friend made a story about him going to the hospital. It was funny XD

Welcome back dakkii!!!

Well, as for now, the description of Yuuki's sickness is vague but it has something to do with his lungs. The members don't wanna give any information out yet and they are saying that he is going through "more deatiled screenings". He has been going through screenings since the past month. When Shou said that Yuuki can't come back yet this month, he also stated that Yuuki's condition is "pretty complex" that's why he's just resting for the time being. Although a few people speculated that Shou's blog entry was just an April Fool's joke, because it was posted on April 1 and by Shou, not the members, staff, etc., a follow-up was posted by Jun a few days after telling everyone to wait for Yuuki. (All information was taken from the UnsraW lj comm)

I really look up to the band for continuing to do their lives even if they are not complete. ^_^

i really hope the issue with his lungs isnt something chronic... i hate to even mention it and im 95% sure this can't be it, but i know in my life a lot of people who have been getting cancer lately and its the saddest thing i can think of.

on a lighter note, not only am i proud of the band, but im also so proud of the fans! i just got back from taste of chaos, and no offense to those fans at all, but im pretty sure they would boo even their favorite band off of the stage is they suddenly didnt have their vocalist or demand money back or something... so yay to everyone!

haha! i wonder what Shou-brand sticks would have on them...

I have a friend whose dad died of colon and lung cancer. He said that the diagnosis and those tests took around one or two months. I don't mean to make a rumor or something ****** like that. It's just that as much as I don't want to even think the possibility of that, the tests have been taking too long for a minor disease...

Shou did say that it was pretty complex.

And yeah, my family has cancer as the often cause of death. Everyone is getting cancer... lol

And yeah, I get you. Although there are a lot of understanding fans (like us lol ^_^), there are more fans that are demanding and selfish. I'm just happy that most of their fans are really understanding and wish the best.

@ the story - Yeah it's kinda funny but my friend who wrote it had a lot of typos and wrong grammar so I had to spend more time correcting it than reading. I tried my best to make it typo-free in my journal.

I hate page 2 but seriously, being absent for a few days doesn't help, especially if your router fell and it has to be fixed...

I was in my mom's office the other day and I got bored so I drew them in the whiteboard... lol

The UnsraW lj community has a fanproject. It would be a collage of what the audience looks lke in an UnsraW live.

Anyone interested should go to the lj comm, or alternatively, send me pictures, five different ones wherein you can designate a specific photo for a specific member or just one. I will be the one to fedex it to the person who would make the collage, lysalie28. She would also give it to the band on May 29 at their live.

Make sure your whole face is seen (not cut) and preferrably looking straight and happy (not sideways and frowning, lol) because I would resize the face to 1x1. He said that he went drinking with Rui (vistlip, was also in CORE THE CHILD) and talking about bands made him inspired.

The latest one was really touching, heartwarming *insert sappyness here*. He said that someone had been folding paper cranes for them. For those who don't know what it means, there is this superstitious belief in Japan that if you fold 1000 paper cranes, your wish would come true, so it was really awwwwwww.... T_T

I also received my polaroids and phonestrap around 2 weeks ago. I'll try to take pictures of them...

And I had two consecutive dreams about them. The first one was on May 29. I was reading a newspaper and then I saw an ad of UnsraW having a concert in Philippines (my country) on June 13. Then my friend Mariel said she would go with me so I was happy... I don't know if June 13 is any important date but oh well.

Then, my second dream on May 30. Only the first part was UnsraW related. When I checked my polaroids, they were laminated so I got angry. lol weird but the rest of that dream is weirder.

If anyone noticed, those dreams happened on the days of their last 2 lives... *sigh*

And just a reminder, Rai's birthday is on the 10th!!! So everyone, I hope you send him a fanmail... :D
