変化
Henka, which is a noun meaning "change".
変 is also used for verb 変る (kawaru vi) and 変える (kaeru vt) but don't use this kanji alone, as it also is an adjective (hen) meaning strange, eccentric, etc.

I'm trying to find a Kanji for the phrase, "I'm not going to pay a lot for that muffler..."
Isn't that just "woman" + "carburetor?" :D

what about KAIKAKU symbol? does it have the same (or very similiar) meaning like HENKA?
or what about KAI when it's used alone? (I hope I used right names for symbols.. beacuse I can't find it in character map) :(

it's not for tattoo! :)
You mean 改革? That's like "reform." And if you mean 改 used alone, no, it doesn't seem to be according to a dictionary check.

Just a side note (maybe you already understood it and this may not be necessary but just in case...)
As Glenn explained, 改革 means "reform" so if would not fit in the sentence like the one you mentioned, i.e. "big change in your life (or your mind), some new big steps in your life, etc... "
