Seeking knowledge about the Japanese skincare market

I've just been offered some sort of opportunity in the skincare market in Japan (I'm based in the UK right now).

Would any members who know a fair amount about that market be prepared to chat a little with me by PM or in the Chat here? It shouldn't take very long at all.
I only want to keep it private because this is a potential business opportunity for me.

Just as a personal opinion, Japanese skin care products sold in drugstores (Boire & Dove in particular) tend to be thick, greasy, nonabsorbant, difficult to apply, horribly expensive and more likely to give irritation than take it away. There may be differences in sensitivity but that is definately an area I make sure to stock up on before leaving. :relief:

I hope so too! I have absolutely no pretensions about taking on the major Japanese companies, but at first glance I may have been offered something good here that has been formulated and produced abroad, completely natural etc etc etc...I just need some feedback to confirm what i've already been 'sold' about these products, and the market share they've already gained....

You never know! I'd say a third of my heart still stays in Japan, it'd be nice to take my other two-thirds back there for a visit sometime, even just on business!
