Hello, Im new to this forum, ive been browsing alot but now im hit with somthing no one has been able to help and its time to start posting
Well I have recently moved to japan after comming every summer since I am half japanese but now I am enrolled at a University but I have been pending with an issue. I knew here in japan almost everyone had cellphones vs computer but I am having alot of trouble trying to find a new Gaming computer. I have been trying BTO sites ( my japanese is not best but i have others call the companies aswell) are trying to get rid of their P965 chipset mother boards and I would like the new P35 chipset which i was able to find at clevery.co.jp yet I had my mother ( japanese) call them and they refuse to swap a motherboard in their BTO computers. So far they have been the least "rip off" company seeing as I am on a budget (up to 170000 yen with monitor and certain specs posted below) cleverly=137000+28000 for monitor. Does anyone know of any BTO companies that would be able to provide a computer for a good price ( monitor i can buy seperate). I really dont want to pay too much seeing as computers/parts are a good 30%-60% more expensive then Canada/US.
I am looking for
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
nVidia 8600 GTS
ASUS P5K mobo or MSI Platnium( if they its cheap not over priced)
2 gigs pc 6400 DDR2 ram
Any HD 250 Gb +
Optical drive that reads pretty much anything (no blue ray hd dvd obviously)
Strong powersupply for overclocking
And good cooling/case
Sry if post has been posted before i searched and came up with nothing, i was also not sure where i could post this so i saw a few computer things here so i believed here would be best. Thanks in Advance :-)

Pipokun - lately thats not so. Intel has been slashing prices, which has made some models cheaper than AMD, which has been causing trouble for them.

Best thing would be to build it yourself - you won't be able to do much if they don't want to stick it in a PC - they are special sets.

Im going to agree w/ Ewok here on thi sone... Intel has been doing some damage to AMD lately, and unless you are die-hard AMD, you really can save a lot and get a dual (or for later) a quad core intel chip.

If you are building a gaming machine right now, I don't think you should skimp on the details. I know tbuihat DX10 games are few, and if any, in beta... but you need to be looking at Nvidia cards (my personal choice) which support Direct X 10....

Everything else is how you put it together... building a pc from scratch isn't always easy, but if you do it right it ensures you get the best parts.

thanks for the replies and pico for the site

yes i am headed only intel as specs i am looking for are posted in first post, amd has not been able to keep up which for me im happy seeing as i am a die hard intel guy :P ( also die hard ati) but i know ati isnt as good as nVidia so im heading for the 8600gts which does support

looking at the site posted it looks like a better deal to buy a highclass one there vs the gaming class

as for building it my self, i havent built a computer before ive taken apart and put back together old junkers ( yes i know its easy ) but never ran them again so im a bit nervous if i screw up its my fault and so that leads to why i would personally prefer bto seeing as i can blame them :P for any faults

Anymore suggestions would be greatly apreaciated :-) Thank you everyone who has posted

clevery.co.jp/pc/middle/100315.html

and

clevery.co.jp/pc/middle/100309.html

those i have been looking at but the only thing is that the first one has a crap mother board wich for an extra 40$ or so they could put in somthing pretty impressive and the first one is a p965 chipset

both seem like good deals minus the mother board, does anyone have any ideas on a better mobo that will work with the same hardware MUST BE A P35 CHIPSET :), which that is why i believe the first one the Middle Tower GAME P35 Model would be better since ( i dont know enough about computers to say for sure) but i belive i could re use ram and all other hardware if replaced by a new msi platnium or somthing. if possible could you please tell me since i could buy now and upgrade mobo in 6 months when its a bit more affordable

THANK YOU VERY MUCH :P sry that i am being n00bish :P

I'd still build it yourself. Even if you do mess something up you can replace it on the spot if its early on, and if it doesn't die the same day as you build it, the thing will run fine.

I've built thousands (gah) of PC's, there is very, very little that you can do wrong ;)

hmmm, time is also an issue, currently university is going on so i do home work most of the day :(

it looks like a better deal to buy that bto and tweak it my self then making it my self i could save a good 200$+

thanks for post :)

any other suggestions?
