This is an essay I have to do as part of my assessment...I find it very hard has been marked by three diff people two times now but still there are mistakes...help!!!
Welcome to New Zealand.
ニュージーランドにようこそ。
I want to introduce New Zealand.
New Zealand and Japan are surround by sea and are long and narrow countries however, New Zealand is in the southern hemisphere and Japan the north.
ニュージーランドも日本も海にかこまれていて、ほそ長い島国です けど、ニュージーランドは南半きゅうで、日本は北半きゅうにあります。
The Tasman Sea is west and Pacific Ocean is on the east side.
西には、タスマン海、東のほうには、たいへい洋があり ます。
Australia is the closest country.
一番近い国はオーストラリアです。
New Zealand is made up of three islands, North Island, South Island and Stewart Island.
ニュージーランドは北島と、南島と、スチュワート島の三つの大きい島からできています。
On the second largest island is New Zealand’s capital Wellington.
二番目の大きい島に、ニュージーランドの都はウィリントンです。
New Zealand and Japan are about as big but Japan is a little bigger.
ニュージーランドは日本と同じぐらいの大きさですが、日本のほう が少し大きいです。
However Japan when you compare the population of Japan it always has more people. Therefore is crowded.
しかし、人口を比べると、日本はずっと多いです。だか ら、日本はとてもこんでいます。
Japan’s population is around 122,000,000 and 75% of people live in the city.
日本の人口は１おく２，２００万人ぐらいで、七十五パ ーセントは町に住んでいます。
Compared to New Zealand, it has a population of only 4,000,000 and 86 % live in the city.
ニュージーランドに比べて、人口は４おく人ぐらいだけです。その 八十六パーセントは町に住んでいます。
Because Japan and New Zealand are in different hemispheres, the seasons are opposite.
日本とニュージーランドは違いの半きゅうにあるので、きせつははんたい です。
In other words, when the cherry blossoms are blooming in Japan, in New Zealand it is snowing in the South Island.
つまり、日本でさくらをさいている時、ニュージーランドにの南島に雪をふっています。
Because everyday is four seasons, even if you wake up and it is sunny, please take warm clothes.
毎日は四つのきせつがありますから、起きる時、はれで も、あたたかいふくを持って来ます。
If you stay in New Zealand when it is winter, you will probably say it is warmer than Japan.
ニュージーランドにいたら、冬がある時、ニュージーランドは日本よりあたたかいと思うかもしれません。
While staying here, I recommend you go to Hamilton, Rotorua, and Queenstown.
ここにいる間、ハミルトンや、ロトルアや、クイーンズタウンをすいせんします。
According to the internet, Hamilton is a good place to see. Hamilton is full of Maori culture. According to internet because Maori art is like Japanese art it will be interesting for Japanese people.
インターネットによると、ハミルトンたくさんマオリの物ですか ら、いい所に行きます。マオリの美じゅつは日本ににて いるからで、日本人のために大へんおもしろいです。
Rotorua is a place I think you will enjoy. It also has lots of Maori artwork. Plus it has hot pools.
ロトルアを楽しむと思います。たくさんマオリの美じゅ つがあります。それと、おんせんにリラックスするに行 きます。
Because I have heard Japanese people like to ski, and there are good mountains for skiing and on top of the mountains you can see beautiful scenery, Queenstown is a good place to go.
日本人はスキーをする事が好きだそうだし、いい山ためスキーをするし、山の上からとても美しいけいしきを見られる ので、クイーンズタウンはいい所に行きます。
Tonight you will return home with a student from a school and stay with them in a home-stay.
今晩は学校から生徒と一生に家に帰って、ホームステイをします。
If you compare your home-stay life will your life it will possibly be a lot different.
ホームステイの生活と比べたら自分の生活は大ぶ違うかもし れません。
In Japan you remove your shoes before you enter, but here only a few homes will do this.
日本の家でも、学校でも入る前に、くつをめぎましたで すが、ニュージーランドで少ない家だけです。
