Help required from model collectors

Hi Everyone, I am a Lotus scale model collector from Britain, and I would like some help from like minded people, to buy models from the Japanese market (websites), and post them to me in Britain. I will do the same for you, and help in any way I can. I ONLY collect Lotus models, and only know about Lotus, but I will buy and send any thing that is required.
If this thread is in the wrong place, (sorry administrators :blush:) please feel free to put it in the correct place.

Any preference on if the models are plastic, die cast metal, or radio control types? I think if you find a Japanese person who is into making car models(and English speaking), you will be doing good. To find one who is into just Lotus would be real lucky, LOL.Hopefully one of our members will know such a person to connect you to. Shipping costs and money conversion(along with translation/language problems) will make things difficult, best of luck to you.

Thanks for that, no preference in models as long as it is Lotus. I have looked at Japanese model websites, but I am unable to find any e-mail addresses for the sites, (they are translated through google, very well). If I can talk directly to the websites that would help.

Hi Rudel,
Thanks for your reply. It is not the sites I require, I have the sites, it is being able to talk to them, and more important, most of the sites will only post models to customers who live in Japan. I need someone to be able to talk to the sites, to have the cars delivered to them and then post onto me in Britain, (unless the sites will post straight to Britain).

Thanks for that message, that would certainly help, but as you say 'A long Shot'. Lotus is a very popular marque in Japan, so there must be people that collect them,.......but to speak English.......see this forum.......and want to help me, The Shot seems to get longer!!!!!!:(:(

Lotus, have you tried going to your local hobby shop and seeing if they can special order the Models from any of the Japanese model companies?

I know I've went to mine to order plenty of Japanese models before.
The fact is that Japanese companies have warehouses in other countries too.
