For all of you who don't know about the goodness of Pocky, Pocky are little biscuit sticks dipped in a wide assortment of flavors. I've seen so many different kinds, like chocolate, coconut, banana, cherry, peach, apple, and strawberry.

Yeah, a while ago, I tried to edit my post, and change 12 to 15, but it wouldn't let me. Yup............I have a Japanese friend that is absolutely in love with Ai Kago. We all make fun of him for it, because Morning Musume is kinda equivelent to the female version of N'SYNC. Kinda funny, even though I have a thing for Rika Ishikawa..........

How much do you pay for a nice pack pf Pocky? I found them good but a bit on the pricy side (well, yeah, compare to American craps). Yan yan, I get get for 69 cents in thw Asian market but Pocky is like 1.89$ :eek: ...I am getting drained from the addiction :p

Probably the difference is the place you get them, and how much is in the package. Pocky tends to have (I'm not sure on the number) upwards of 10 or so number of sticks in one bag, so then if there's 3 bags ( I once found a box with 6 bags!!) it might be expensive because of the amount in them. Same happens when you buy in bulk.

I also went to world market, and they had 2 packs of pocky with a .89 cent price tag!! It was totally cool, and I go there whenever I need my Pocky fixins........

Here it's 3.00$ for a pack with 3 bags so it's a dollar a bag. *_* But the deluxe kind (mousse) is about 5 dollars...

At Sugoi Con 2003 (Another Anime con) they had chocolate, almond, strawbery, mousse and men's pocky. Also, there was a girl in a dog suit there with a sign that read "Will give hugs for pocky!" I gave her a box of mousse just for the fun of it.

I went to a Chinese market in the next city to where i live and bought two boxes of standard chocolate pocky!!! YUM!!!!!!!! i eat them while 'christmas shopping'.. .I got my sisters boyfriend in to pocky aswell!!! he really likes the almond ones!!

I also bought a box of Koala Biscuits...not opened them yet, but they look well tasty!!!!!! yum yum!!!! :wave:

For the people without Pocky in their lives (or lack thereof), I found a simple solution. Suncoast is a huge movie store chain that has a lot of goodies like anime, shirts, figurines, etc. But low and behold, on a rack next to the counter I found Japanese snacks and Pocky! :happy: Now you have a large store chain to go and look foward to.:)

thanx, but we don't have this chain store in UK. I still have 1/2 box of strawberry Pocky saved for special occassion that I brought back from Japan. If I open the packets, I will eat it all at once. So I have to keep it as it is, haha, (^_~) lol

Hey KyoKyo, pacific mercantile downtown for the pocky brand stuff. Any of the asian markets around town (especially around alameda ave and federal blvd) will have at least some form of a dipped biscuit. Almond or coconut by the box!:)

buuuut... i've been told... that Pocky originated in korea.... and the it's so called 'Pocky' becaus that's ment to be the sound it makes when you break it...'po-ki'
