the translation of に in this sentence is ni, but i thought ni looked totally different.
is it different for this sentence or am i wrong?
Oh and i thought "Wi[ゑ] " had no Hiragana, but it does apparently in this.

に is the only hiragana character pronounced ni, but your sentence doesn't make any sense...

You may or may not know this, but the いろは is an old, old poem, written about 1,000 years ago, and as such it's not going to be easy for beginning Japanese students to read at all.

And "wi" is written as ゐ. The character you wrote (ゑ) is "we." But neither is used in modern Japanese.

Ahh I'm familiar with いろは but never learned it beyond the first few characters, as the only exposure I've had was the いろは坂 going to 日光, thanks for the heads up. I wonder what learning materials FeminineMarshmellow is using...

im learning with いろは

I have a list of hiragana in a book, and i thought it would be useful to memorize some lines of something for my writing skills.
i guess i should pick something more modern ^-^
