This is my first post in the foro and I would like to say HELLO to everybody! I went to Japan few months ago and it was a great experience....what a country !!!!!!
I need to ask you something....I'm in contact with a girl I met in Osaka. She is now having a, lets say, difficult time, and I would like to write her something to cheer her up. When we were together there, there was a sentence she liked a lot and it worked very well : BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!. I would like to write this sentence to her in Japanese but I'm not sure how it is exactly. A friend told me that it is like this : 己信 . But I want to be 100 % sure.
THANKS !!

with kanji: 自分を信じてあきらめないでね。
in hiragana only: じぶんをしんじてあきらめないでね。

That means literally 'never give up believing in yourself.'

Now, don't take my advice only. Perhaps someone else on the forum should help in order to make sure.

Indeed, there is no such word. 自信, which means 'self-confidence' is a word.
