I was considering using yesjapan.com

Has anyone here used this website and can tell me anything about it from a users point of view verses a salesman's view?

Things like how well it's organized, grammar coverage, and perhaps the level of japanese you could achieve using this site.

Domo arigatou gozaimasu ... in advance.

I tried this site for a month or so, I ended up only downloading the videos (that's why I registered). One really good feature is teacher-student question and an accompanying database with all answered questions. Also their lessons looked pretty good, even though I didn't come around to using them. I unregistered after one month because of the download limit on 5 movies/week, which was way too little concidering the price.
Also, their lessons are divided into 5 parts which consist of like 15 lessons each. The structure seems to be similar to that of a normal text book, some glossary, grammar, examples and a dialogue. Every word came with listening possibilites though, which was good. I think (if I remember correctly) they ranked the parts themselfes: part1&2: beginner, part3&4:intermediate, part5:advanced, but as I said I never used any lessons.

Hope that gave you some insight at least :P.

I found out they are running a free 7-day trial, so I'm trying it out right now. I agree with what you said. It is similar to a normal japanese book. However I do like that you can click on any new words you learn to hear them in a couple different voices, and put words in a Log for those you might have more difficulty with, so you can go to them whenever you want.

Also I love the progression method, using what you learn all the way, including kanji (I skipped ahead to the end ;) ) I don't know if I would call this site advanced japanese, but perhaps extreme beginner to intermediate, perhaps?

I'll copy in a few details of YesJapan.com for anyone else who is curious about this site.

It's a very entertaining site and lots of info, but not worth paying for in my opinion. I was a member for a few months then cancelled my account.
