k, after going through a few of the posts on the forum, i know u guys r the right people to ask this question: what should start doing if I want to study in Japan?

I am currently a Gr.11, and i have done jlpt level 3 last year ( got 352/400....should have done level 2 maybe... :relief:), and am planning to do level 2, or if i can improve my kanji skills, level 1.

I can speak Japanese fluently, for i lived there till Gr.2 , and am studying at a community Japanese school for 3 hours a week in chuuichi level ( my kanji and speed of writing isnt that high, but everything else is), and will finish Japanese 30IB level B ( Gr. 12 course) in my school by May this year with a 90-95% ( didnt hand in some stuff on time :p ).

my other marks are a bit low this year ( life kept throwing curve balls.....sigh,)
but i can get at least 85% average next year for sure

I want to study in a good university in japan, in japanese if possible; I was thinking of applying for Monbusho scholarship, but i heard its hard to get for undergraduate; is there any other scholarships and such?

any advice, comment etc is greatly appreciated, thanxs for reading !

If you speak Japanese fluently then you might find Google Japan to be a rich source of information.

Then there's the answer to your question. If you want to study in Japan, learn to read Japanese.

You can translate text with this:

csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/cgi-bin/wwwjdic.cgi?9T

It translates words one by one so as long as you understand Japanese grammar your fine.
And navigating Japanese sites tends to be great 読み練習。

If I remember correctly they have entrance tests or something along those lines for universities in Japan. You should be able to order some of the exercise-books and see what you need to focus on. Of course...that is only if you can read them. From what my japanese friends are telling me, the main difference is that you need a very good memory to pass those tests since there is much more to remember than in France (As a mean of comparison, I can tell from my experience that studies in the US is easier than in France)
