Dear all

I'm posting for my friend Minami in Japan. :D

Minami has always wanted to record music. In her free time she has written more than 30 songs and I'm helping her plan how to release at least some of these songs in a professional recorded format.

The song she would love to release as a first single is called ANGEL WITH BROKEN WINGS. You can listen to it on her website: minamism.com (we were pretty lucky to get this domain name).

Please let me know what you think of this song and Minami's website. I want to make it interesting for people so that Minami can have the best chance to share her music. B)

I'm really curious about how we can use the Internet to share her music and to provide an alternative to the standard way of promoting Japanese music.
Thank you for reading this.

Shane

PS: Yes, this is for real. Minami is really living in Japan, she's really working on recording some music and I'm really helping her by maintaining her wordpress website.

PPS: Yes, she really does like Snoopy that much (you'll know what I mean if you read her blog). You should see her car. Snoopy everywhere.

Hmmm...I have to get used to her vocals. Maybe after a few listens I can get used to her.
I appreciate that you help her on her music career. Keep it up. :)

I really love the translation of The Opened Door. I see she is a good songwriter.

Thank you very much for visiting!

In the ANGEL WITH BROKEN WINGS demo there are a couple of examples where Minami hits some slightly dubious high notes. She'll be working on making it smoother in the next weeks.

In a previous version of this post I was suggesting that you might want to look at her song THE OPENED DOOR. It is a newer song. It's a lot less "pop" than ANGEL WITH BROKEN WINGS, but I personally like it quite a lot.

Anyway, you edited your post I guess, and commented on the English translation of THE OPENED DOOR. I agree with you. I think she's a good songwriter.

If you have advice or suggestions, please let me know!
