He seemed to be a pretty unique guy. Only learned about him several weeks ago, when I descovered X Japan (totally love them btw). I heard he saved a girls life by being donor for her, and having to undergo a very painful procedure. His guitare solos sound great to me (cant really judge him cause im not a guitare player or specialist myself). Saw the newsvid of his funeral with all kind of people bursting into tears. If it was suicide then I say he was a totall ***** for leaving all those people behind, but as I read there are a lot of other toughts going round that it may have been an accident. Well.. We will never know..

What bugs me the most of about his death is he fact he didn't die until he was in the ambulance. So I always wonder what was going through his mind if anything when they came in and took him away on the stretcher.
It makes me cry to think maybe he was in a lot of pain and he was really scared.That he didn't want to die. I wish he knew that people loved him and they were there to help him.
Maybe he was too drunk to realize anything.
Then I think about the girl who found him, I just imagine the guilt and the depression she probably went through. I mean, I bet if she is around today she probably thinks " I should have never left him. I should have stayed beside him..." Could you imagine? Finding someone you love dying? I mean that would make me depressed for the rest of my life. I mean it wasn't her fault.

Also when someone commits suicide, if it was indeed, then it isn't about anyone else. They are in their own selfish world. Trust me I know. They don't care if it hurts anyone else cause they have to stop the pain of whatever is happening to them. Suicide is a very selfish act, but who's to say if it could have been prevented in the future?
hide could be alive today and tomorrow he could commit suicide. I mean the girl could have found him in time and everything would be okay right? He'd be alive, maybe freaked and maybe he may have realized, I love life, yadda yadda. Maybe not. Maybe down the road he would try again and again.

Then again, I don't think it was suicide. I mean it is a possibility cause we don't know what exactly happened that night. One thing I know is that whole theory about murder is something I definitely don't believe. Maybe cause I am just convinced no one would want to hurt hide.
So many theories, there probably will never be an answer.

No I don't believe it was suicide either, but we can never really know what was going on in his mind. The explaination that makes the most sense to me is that he was drunk and it was an accident. I mean, if he was *really* drunk then it would be quite easy to get into that kinda situation and not be able to do anything about it. Or even want to die without showing any previous suicidal tendencies.
I guess that's what must hurt his friends, to this day, the mystery of it. If it was clearly suicide, with a note blar blar blar the whole thing would probably be clearere and slightly easier to deal with. I'm not sayin it would be easy, but it would be compaired to this uncertainty.

I'd forgotten that he didn't die until in the ambulance. To be honest I don't think he will have been thinking very much. He must have been pretty far gone by that time.

I have now become aware that I'm ranting slightly. Talking about hide's death always sets me off. I can't believe it was nearly 9 years ago. :(

Well I hope your right about the ambulance CharismaticDeath, I hope he was too far gone to know about any pain/etc. he was in.
I also agree on the whole drunk thing. I have thought that was mostly the reason, he was drunk, he did something stupid, he couldn't turn back...
It seems more like an accident then anything. I haven't really found anything where he was depressed or anything. I read about people reading interviews or watching something where he appears depressed.
It's kinda eerie the Pink Spider song/pv. It could be a suicide note of some sort, but what about a strange coincidence?

I got into his music too after his death... but to be fair when he was alive I was about 10!

I don't know many people who are into Japanese music... not that I haven't converted any way! Although I did find someone who I had been in classes with for two years and discovered she was a fan. I found this out at the pub for our end of school celebration... typical! I've found a couple so far at uni too... one of them was at one of the gigs I was at in London and we didn't realise each other would be there till we saw each others pics. Her arm was in one of my photos!

If I ever have a child it's being brought up on J-rock and metal exclusively!!! Classic rock and new age is also permited! None of these kids songs nonsense!

Reita-kun I agree with you on the suicide note. I don't want to believe that he would just leave us with that. Like I said it could be but I just think it more of a song that he just wrote without any meaning besides what was originally meant for it.

As for authorities covering what happened, I agree. People were already in hysteria (sp?) and I mean he was a big rockstar. Also the privacy for his family and I mean obviously it didn't work as good as it should have. Not that it would have anyways seeing that the fact he was gone was enough to trigger an off set of reactions.
Was it two young girls who killed themselves? I know one hung herself in her room with a towel. The other I can't remember. (Also two people died in a car crash on their way to the service.)
Poor hide I don't think he would ever have wanted his fans to hurt or take their own lives. But he affected a lot of people when he died. :(

Everyone always says that he had so much planned and he was really excited. Also him and Yoshiki were planning to bring back X.
It makes no sense what so ever that it was suicide. I just think he was drunk and he just wasn't in the right mind and maybe he was trying to scare his gf, but another person in a thread said something about how guitarist do this stretch using a towel or something. It's because they suffer from extreme muscle pain from the way the use the guitar or something.
That sounds believable to me. That he was trying to relieve muscle tension and ended falling asleep I mean it was very early in the morning, he was drunk and he was probably tired.
Also apparently he would do stuff when he was drunk to scare people. I don't really think he was trying to scare anyone that night...

I really want to agree with you 100% but I really cant be certain. At Last Live he was crying when they played Forever Love, I know he wouldn't want to put them through the pain when they played it a second time. Yet if he were manic depressive and drunk at the time I'm sure he wasn't thinking rationally. Of course I don't think he wanted to hurt people, but I still wont rule out suicide. As much as I *really* want to. Although saying that I definately believe more in the other options presented. Not just because I want to but it does make more sense. I can't visualise the relaxation technique one, but its officially accepted as a way it could have happened so I guess it might have been that. I can, however, see it as a prank that went too far. And as he was drunk he wouldn't have been able to get out.

The authorities may have covered a lot up, but in doin that the opposite has been achieved. People talk about his death just because they want to *know* the facts. Contravercy is always goin to spark discussion and still more contravercy. But I suppose, even with all the facts, we still wouldnt know.

Maybe we should change the subject from his death to his life instead. I mean we should remember him for his life, his talent, his kindness, his music, his fashion (hell yeah!:-) )and just for his attitude. I mean it is quite the topic to sit around and muse over what little information we have about his passing and just to have heartfelt discussions about how we feel about it. It has been interesting to share with but I think we should turn it on a happier note.

Personally what makes me love hide the most has to be his music, his fashion and that hair. :love: Okay, Okay Everything!!! I mean the guy pulled off that hot pink hair so well. I love it, it just reflects his fun loving goofy personality!
His music, the stuff he did as a solo and with Spread Beaver, amazing! I remember listening to Rocket Dive for the first time and being blown away by his voice!! Every song is different from the next and his voice just morphs with each one!
He was great in X but I am so happy we got to hear and see him as a solo artist. He really showed us what he was capable of doing with music. It was totally different from X.
As for his amazing fashion! I want his clothes, I love how he got these bright fun colours in his clothes and he just did his stuff. I need to go to Necromancer now and maybe browse the shop, maybe they still have jewelery designed by him...

Man you know how to remember someone CharismaticDeath. The only pink food I can think about is strawberries and icecream.0.o I was also thinking about dyeing my hair hot pink (maybe in the future?) but I have decided to get a tattoo. Maybe some time later in summer or on his birthday. I have it all planned out.
It will be on the base of my neck, there will be a pink spider with his name in Kanji and his name in English written under the spider or something. I have to draw it out and prep it out a little more. I also want to get a butterfly on my wrist for Kami.
I spent the morning watching youtube videos of hide and it made me smile so much and made me so sad. I also thought of Yoshiki-sama and hoped he was doing okay and of X. He had Without You (makes me tear so much, it's just so sad and beautiful!) playing on his myspace and a picture of hide and him as well. Then in the afternoon I celebrated my nephews 3rd birthday.
It was a happy confusing sad beautiful day, cause of hide and his death but mostly cause of my nephew and his life.

I would also like to know what this Australian newspaper wrote too? That is if you can stomach what was put without breaking the keyboard or something...I hate when people just go along and put whatever they want with no heart or feeling and just assume people will appreciate what little heart and soul they put into writing trash. The note on the rock by the beach sounds beautiful since his ashes were laid to rest in the ocean and how the symbolize of you writing on a rock just makes it perfect. I bet he was smiling!

Ah well, too bad that Hide isn't here anymore now Jrock artists are coming more to Europe, I would have loved to see him live, his lives seemed to be very energetic and happy.

I read all the articles too and some made me furious. That Australian one disgusted me beyond belief. They were so insensitive, stupid, sarcastic and honestly it was like them making a joke towards a very great amazing man. It was 7 days after the tragedy and they were such *****s, *****s who didn't have a clue about what they were writing and they seemed to have all the facts wrong, actually what facts they have they mock.
I mean most of the article was just plain disrespectful. I will personally hunt down the writer and punch them out! No one has the right to pay so little respect to anyone who is dead. They neglected every proper attitude towards being a real journalist instead they choose to veer down the road of being as obnoxious @$$hole ...Grrr....:box: (Sorry for the rant!!:sorry: )

One line that caught me was the one where hide says "I"m still X Japan. I haven't taken down the sign yet. I'll always be X Japan." when someone says he is a "former X-Japan member". That made me so sad and I was moved such a great deal. It just stood out for me.

It makes me sorta believe more then ever it wasn't a suicide. That he was truly in love with what he was doing, he wanted to get X back together, the band that helped form him into what he became, what he was and who he is today. hide is X Japan :haihai:

I couldn't believe the newspaper reports. It's a good thing to rant about it Kikyos_Souls, there are some things that need to be said. It makes you feel better. I mean, seriously, if you're going to try and criticise anything at all, make sure you get your facts right or you wont be able to hold down a reasonable argument. Which they clearly failed to do on every single level. The bits that really annoyed me were the one that said his beauty was "skin deep" (yes because we remember him 9 years later just for his looks!) and that he contributed towards non of X's songs when I know for a fact he wrote in full a fair few. grrrr some people should not be allowed to write for the press.

RevengeBabyYeah I know what you mean. I was too young to have the access to his music when he was still alive. We would have had no J-rock coverage in the UK at all then and the internet wasn't arround really.
Asking my favorite X song always pronpts a really long list! Main ones being Art of Life, Blue Blood, Endless Rain, Kurenai and X. I also I like Forever Love but can't actually listen to it without bursting into tears so that one tends not to be played. As for hide's solo stuff, Beauty and Stupid is one of my all time favorites. Aswell as Pink Spider.

It was clear, even before the funeral, that Forever Love was a song that meant a lot to them. If you watch the video of that song during Last Live, it seems to be the song that brings it home that its their last gig. But then again, they wouldnt have chosen to play it at the funeral if it didn't mean a lot to them all.
I'm interested to hear Yoshiki and Toshi's new recording of Without You. I know they've been in the studio but have no idea when it'll be released.

My fave X Japan songs would be Tears (first song I heard from them so it holds a special place in my heart!), Kurenai, Crucify My Love, Forever Love and Endless Rain. I really like Toshi's voice for some reason, and they are just so amazing.
All their songs are pretty catchy and get stuck in your head.Which isn't a bad thing.
I remember looking up the English lyrics for their songs and for Sadistic Desire someone had put "I've gotta c&@p your face on and on
till down on your knees" instead of "I've gotta slap your face on and on till down on your knees". For some reason that just made me laugh so hard!!(Sorry kinda pointless...)
As for Without you, the music and the title just makes me cry. My friend (another hide fan! That's how I met her. She's from Germany too! hide love everywhere!) sent the lyrics to me.

Now as for hides stuff...
Rocket Dive (My favorite song and Pv!!!), Lemoned I screamed, Electric Cucumber,Dice, Goodbye (*sniff* luvs you hide!) and Pink Spider (I love this PV as well, don't ask why, although when he's like pulling his finger across his neck kinda creeps me out...)

I just love his singing and his voice is quiet nice as well. I watch interviews with him and he just has this very pleasant, sweet voice.That's the best I can describe his voice, also humble and kind.^__^ I love the video when he meets the girl he saved and he says "Okay" to her. I only know Forever love from X japan, and have read the story of Hide (which made me get a tear in my eye). My wife told me that he had a good heart and that he did a lot of things for the people arround him and for charities.

As for the museum, it is closed. I mean it is so sad cause we will never get to see it and wander around it's rooms, I think there were three huge ones or something.
I did read an article that I found interesting, I have to find it again, that explained the "bad" and "good" part of closing it down (for lack of better words). The "bad" part mainly was that other people would not be able to enjoy it and the "good" was mainly it was money problems and I remember the article describing it sorta "creepy" (probably not right word again...7am here just woke up...), but you would go into rooms and stare at these articles that hide owned-pencils he wrote with as a kid, his guitars, maybe a sheet of paper he wrote on, stuff like that.
Some no doubt very personal to him and it seems kinda "snoopy " to be standing there reading maybe what he didn't want read or just staring at his clothes or something. Mind you there was like a glass infront so you couldn't like touch anything, maybe the statues and his car...Just stare.
I mean the poor guy was probably like turning bright red in heaven when they started building the museum, other angels poking him, teasing him, "Look hide there is a whole building dedicated to you!!"

I love hides modesty!:-) That is why I write his name in lower case: once hide requested that people did not capitalize his name when written in English, he said he "wasn't a big deal."

I can't watch his funeral mainly because it makes me cry and I feel like I am lost somehow. I think hide wouldn't mind all his fans being there even if we were only there two, seven, even ten years later, watching it through glass.
I must admit it makes me nervous too. I just see all those fans crying... I mean obviously his family,friends gave permission for people to view his funeral, it is on His Invincible Deluge Evidence dvd, right?
I think in a way it just made his family and friends realize how much more he was, then what he appeared to be. He was very important to people and it is so funny cause many never met him or got the chance too and yet they came to remember him. It just shows how much influence and inspiration he gave to people.

Also about the whole staring at personal items, I mean okay I admit I would have loved to go the museum and stare too.Then again who knows. I haven't read all of Kurt Cobain's journal, (just flipped through it, read a few paragraphs, put it back on shelf, walked away) just for the reason that it was very personal to him. I know how I feel when someone digs through my journal!
If I had a museuem dedicated to me I guess I would feel honored but embarrassed. It would be weird to have someone staring at the half eaten bagel I bought at that bagel store and couldn't finish...Weird example...

CharismaticDeath I saw plushies for sale on a site www.j-xyz.net. I am sorta wary of purchasing stuff online sometimes but I think they are pretty safe. Thanks dude, I have the most amazing plan for when I've finished uni now. My dad's movin to Jeju island, Korea, and around the time I finish uni they are settin up an English community there to send people to learn English. The idea is it's cheeper than sending them to America or the UK. The only qualifications they want is a degree, I don't think they specify what in. So for at least a year I think I'm gona work there, and I'll have family so I wont have to worry about a place to live. So all will be well and I get to live in Asia!!

Bands droppin the VK look will sepairate the fans of the music from the fans of the image. I do like VK but a band has to have more than just a good look for me to like them.

When I saw MUCC I spent half the time gettin irritated with fangirlish behaviour... and the other half doin it myself!! It's impossibly to resist!

and yeah, it's pretty cool, they get in all the latest music, it usually only take a couple days too, all japanese music releases on wednesdays so they'll usually have the newest stuff by saturday and they also have magazines like Shoxx, Fool's Mate, Cure, and Arena 37c plus they carry pretty much every japanese manga out there as well as english versions and some various books and anime. It's pretty awesome. It's called Kinokuniya.

Today Japanese newspaper Sponichi broke the news that after nearly ten years since X Japan's New Year's break-up concert and nine years since the death of influential lead guitarist hide, X Japan will officially be reforming with a new tour and single scheduled to come within the year.

The article states that founder Yoshiki summoned former vocalist Toshi to Los Angeles to work on a hide-tribute track titled "Without You" (originally released instrumentally on Yoshiki's first album) during November 2006. After an emotional recording session the two felt that "the puzzle pieces just fit," and decided to officially reunite the band.

Yoshiki is said to be in talks with guitarist Pata and bassist Heath regarding the reunion, with hopes to feature the band lineup circa the band's final performance. While nothing has been set in stone, the tentative touring lineup is Yoshiki, Toshi, Pata, Heath, and roughly 10 guest guitarists who will perform hide's parts during various songs in the set.

Current information indicates that X Japan's tour will begin near Yoshiki's home of Los Angeles, with the Toshi-sung single release of "Without You" due sometime this year.

Regarding the reunion, Yoshiki stated the following: "After hide's death most fans were split between two extreme opinions, either 'you reunite and I'll kill you' or 'if you don't reunite I'll die.' I had trouble making the decision and for a while I wasn't able to move forward. This reunion is actually a first for me as well."

I really hope they can deal with it. They were heartbroken during Last Live... I really don't want a repeat performance of that. But at the same time I would love to hear them again. You have to think to watch this movie you can't sit back, relax, you have to keep your eyes glued to the screen. Definitely not a 'kids movie' as they say...
I'm sorta thinking I didn't see it all...I think I missed the ending. Like it I had to watch it on Youtube (Anyone know a better site to watch it on??) and it ended with hide and Tusk getting their faces grabbed by that "thing" (sorry can't remember what it is called...) and then they are being dragged back into the womb. Then it ended.

Nan Desu Ka Thank you! That was very interesting. Honestly I mean it is very divided but I don't believe anyone who was an X Japan fan will not be intrigued. I mean you remember your favorite band right and then they broke up and they finally come back in your early twenties? You want them to, but you don't.
Too many good memories of them in their glory day which might be shattered by their return.I think most fall in between the extremes because of curiosity. You want those memories again but it is never the same.

Agree on it is going to be very sad. I hardly doubt no tears will fall.

It is so weird how Yoshiki is moving so fast with his career...Skin and X Japan reunion...It's like he has somehow managed to "forgive" himself. He really was hard on himself when hide died.
My friend showed me a interview that he did after hide's death and he just threw the blame on himself, it was so sad.
He said that he wished he never had asked hide to be part of X and then maybe he would still be alive today. He also sorta blamed Toshi leaving X on himself too. Maybe it was because he was the leader of X and all these tragedies happened so fast.

I would love to go see this reunion! I just really wish hide would be there, I just think I will NEVER EVER see him live. :bawling: That is what is the greatest tragedy. People like me and probably most of you will never see hide play guitar/sing infront of us unless it is on the computer,tv, etc. Its so weird sometimes to think how all of us discuss a man who we never knew, but who we still love and care about. Boogles the mind that kind of power....

Which version did you watch on youtube? I know there's one that puts it all as one file (but has terrible quailty) and another in parts... with considerably better quality.

I agree it's crazy to be so attatched to someone we never knew about when he was alive. But it's not that uncommon I don't think. I have a friend who is very attatched to Cliff Burton (second Metallica basist) who died before she was even born.

I wouldn't be at all supprised if they got Kaoru to play. Yoshiki loves Diru.

I saw the one which was cut into parts. I was just reading somewhere that explained a different ending where Holth gets angry or something. Then from his negative energy he turns the womb into stone and it crumbles into nothingness. I could probably find the site again that said that. It also said they were sent to earth to heal Holths eye not because they questioned their maker/creation/other worlds.

I hope hide meant something to the guitarists they get. I wouldn't want someone playing his stuff just cause he is a good guitarist, you know?

To be honest I would say hide means quite a lot to pretty much every guitarist in Japan!! I can't imagine any one not being overawed by the chance to play his part in X. Gods it really would be a dream come true!!

Having hide's signature certainly would be something to treasure for ever.

I never really thought about the eye thing in Seth et Holth... I don't exactly understand why it wouldn't heal any way... I thought they weren't sent but that Holth was bored with life within the womb so left to go to the outside world (a sin) and Seth followed to try and get him to go back. On the Earth they saw that it was a far more corrupt place and so pretty much went back of their own free will.

I think Meeves did aget a lot of his style from hide... he is a fan. But if you watch some of his vids and see some of his outfits the resembelence is striking.

I actually recorded that movie years ago (in a very disgusting spanish translation, you should listen to hide's spanish voice saying "toca" XD) and it really sucks; there's nothing interesting on it, well, maybe a few Harajuku shots and some killer background songs (like 5-10 seconds...) and of course, X cameo.

There were two right CharismaticDeath eh? I saw two the first one at 1:53 and the second one at 3:10. The one at 3:10 is a bit close up, but she has red hair and a bindi like the ones hide use to wear.

I find it annoying how they dubbed their voices so cartoony! Especially the girls, Die's and Kyo's dubbed voices weren't so bad.

I wanted to cos-play as hide for the anime convention in my city two weekends back and but my boss said I couldn't dye my hair pink!!! I should have just gotten a wig...

Gazerocks I'd say the third one is better... mainly because that is a harder era to pull off. They have the right face shape aswell... which isn't often the case.


Kikyos_Souls I know... I hate the dubbing too... they would have been better to sub it. Or get someone to dub it who didn't speak like a retard attempting to do a Jap accent!

I dread to imagine the state hide's hair was in... he must have just had it perminantly like that... although how he kept it clean god only knows... maybe he had some kinda dry clean for hair method.

My hair is only just recovering being pink from hide cos-play moment. The annoyin thing is the dye seems to have come out at different rates at different times. The top of my hair is back to normal, there is just a small patch in the middle that is pink... goin into blonde... which has a kind of fire like effect... it's very strange. Damn hair dye and its lack of making sense!

@CharismaticDeath: Yeah. Singapore celebrates Christmas! The lightings at Orchard Road changes every year and there're usually contests between shopping malls to see who has the nicest decorations. Sometimes, malls install foam machines outside so that 'snow' is created in the air. There's lots of sales during Christmas too!

I listen to hide when doing math. Can't concentrate too if it were other subjects like Econs. What I read wouldn't be processed. hide is too rock-addictive! hehe

I know... I found Singapore quite boring when we were there... but after leavin it for 3... or is it 4 now... years... I kinda miss it in a way! At least you can walk around feeling safe... I'm not allowed out on my own here... far too many incidents recently of people being attacked and mugged... and people we actually know not just random people in the news... kinda brings it closer to home.
I think I managed to aviod the sunburn in Singapore... not sure how because I'm really pale! Got absolutly fryed in Thailand though! ... Me and my friend didn't leave the room for about three days!!

I'm not sure how many times you can sit A levles per year... I think it's twice... once for the normal time and then one resit... you can resit as many years as you like but apparently they tell the unis how many resits it took you... and you have to pay for them which gets quite expensive after a while. Some people I know resat a whole year.

wow i didn't know the new single for X had been released...I'll have to look for that abit harder now lol. I just had to replace my hide TRIBUTE cd since my last one was stolen :(

knowing hide had an older brother and two nephews makes it easy to come to suspect Ruki (Matsumoto Takanori). Other then the physical similarities he admits he has one older brother, a mom and a dad (who has until recently disowned him but is not talking to him more) because of his becoming a jrocker, and he said his first concert ever was an X-Japan. He would have been really young at one of their concerts considering he only barely turned 16 a couple of months before hide passed. Have to admit as well that the end of hide's life would have definitly been a reason his brother would have felt so strongly against his son joining that part of the world of music. its errie but your probably right in saying its just a horrible coincidense for me to keep in my head and link them in possible future fanfiction

I'm staging a huge tribute for the 10 anniversary... last years was quite big. I dyed parts of my hair pink, bought all pink food and went to the beach with my friend and wrote messages on the rocks (I think I posted them a while back).
For the 10th aniversary we're planning full cosplay and I'm not sure what kind of memorial. We can't really do pink food again... I'll have to give it some thought.

I've known of Hide for quite some time now, i just haven't gotten into X Japan and his solo music until lately (i don't know why, the're amazing after all)
Even before I got into X Japan I had alot of respect for them, mainly Hide and Yoshiki. Afterall, their legends :-)
I can't get through "Forever Love" without feeling upset and sometimes crying. Hide was always so happy, he shouldn't have had to go yet...
I'm deffinately going to visit the Hide Museum once I finally make it to Japan.

I'm not sure the museum is still open, I can never work out whats going on. Some people say it's closed yet there are petitions to "keep it open" - this implies its not yet closed.

I was in Cologne Germany yesterday and they actually have special J-rock magazines and I almost screamed when I came across an article of hide in it

two full pages with photo's and a little story, bad thing is though in one of the xjapan photos they tried to make Hide stand out but by that yoshiki is out of the photo and hide is in it twice XD not so smart of them :p...

I will try to scan it tomorrow if anyone is interrested

Yeah I heard that too, as far as I know (which is not much) they closed down the museum some years ago, no quite sure when. I felt sad I was hoping I could go when I visit Japan, guess that wont be possible anymore :(

Anyways hide-sama's birthday is pretty soon, I'm proud to say the same day as mine :-) Dic. 13th so I was actually thinking about making something special...but I dont know what LOL any ideas??? :p

It's the hat he wore in a photo with his Pineapple jacket... the purple, red and yellow one, (or atleast thats what the colours looked like to the friend who made it), with the two tassles comming from the "corners" of the hat.

Recently, at a press conference held in Tokyo, further details about the hide memorial summit were revealed. Present at the press conference were YOSHIKI (X JAPAN), Ryuichi Kawamura (LUNA SEA), Takanori Nishikawa (TM Revolution), the band members of Maximum The Hormone and Hiroshi Matsumoto, hide's younger brother. There were also representatives of the charities hide used to support: a bone marrow transplant and a breast cancer charity. The host of the evening was TOSHI of X JAPAN.

The hide memorial summit will be held on Saturday May 3rd and Sunday May 4th at the Ajinomoto Stadium.

The line-ups for both concerts have been announced, revealing quite interesting names:

May 3rd: hide with Spread Beaver, T.M.Revolution, RIZE, DJ OZMA, Maximum The Hormone, hurdy gurdy, Phantasmagoria, Versailles, MarBell, and DaizyStripper.

May 4th: X JAPAN, LUNA SEA, Dir en grey, MUCC, D'espairsRay, The Underneath, oblivion dust, and heidi.


How much do I want to be there! But at the same time I'm glad I'm not going to be as it would just be too upsetting. :(
