I saw something on TV last night about this. The monster parent phenomenon is causing a lot of problems in schools. If the teachers got a little backbone, I think things would improve quickly, though. These monster parents are nothing but spoiled children themselves, so you have to show a little force.

Here comes another monster...

Yamagata University Hospital introduces a new measure to collect a surcharge, 8,400JPY, from "monster patients".
According to the faculty, there were 9,310 ER patients in the hospital in the fiscal year, 2007. About 80% of the patients was not patients with any serious conditions such as...
"I've got to work weekdays";
"Fewer patients at night";
and "Runny nose for a few days".
Wondering if Maikeru Muua would make a file, O-SiCKO, here in the future.

I dont think there is anything as extreme as 25 snow whites...wow that is a lot of snow whites. In Australia there has been cases of teachers being harrassed by parents...and a lot of people think its due to the dwindling respect teacher's have these days. Teachers have reported becoming more stressed by parents and by children...although I havent heard anything as extreme as this.
I really wonder why some parents cant just be proud of their child if they were just a tree in the play or didnt do as well at sports as they hoped. Why cant they be proud that their child tried their hardest. Focusing all their energy and hate on teachers shouldnt be their focus.

What is worse a monster parent or parents that don't even care? I don't think this is only happening in Japan. I see monster parents with their monster children every day at the store. The monster parents are creating kids that do not understand that you do NOT always get what you want in life. They aren't learning that they will loose, they will have a boss telling them what to do and when, they ARE responsible for their actions, and that their actions have consequences. I can't imagine what these kids will be like as adults.

Are you kidding me? I always admired Japan for not being so "politicaly correct" , this is a joke. I mean really, how is this type of behaviour going to prepare their children for the real world? The absolute undeniable reality is that this wolrd is unfair and the faster a child realises this the more they will work to make sure they have the upper hand. Doing this will only harm those childrens future IMO.
