Holiday Questionnaire - correct japanese?

Hi chaps and chapesses, I just wrote this wee holiday questionnaire as practice and was wondering if you could tell me if it makes sense or if I have done something majorly wrong.

休みのアンケート

このアンケーとが僕の日本語の練習する。 (I think this is wrong but i'm not sure how to word it)

１． 国の厚い天気と国の寒い天気とどちらのほうが好きです か。

２． 日本りょうりと外国りょうりとどちらのほうが美味しい ですか。

３． 夏と秋とどちらのほうが好きですか。

４． 日本の中と外国とどちらのほうに行きますか。 (i'm not sure about the use of ほうに　here)

2. Do you like Japanese or foreign cooking better?

3. Do you like Summer or Autumn better?

4. Do you prefer to go (somewhere) in Japan or to a foreign country?

Is it okay to omit the ほう　so you could just write 何々のが好きですか　for example, or should it really be included every time?

暖国と寒国ではどちら（のほう）が好きですか？暖国と寒国と is fine, too.

I don't have time for more than one at the moment, but just to get you familiar with the words for thinking about weather of countries/regions...:-)

You should use 美味しいと思いますか？but "to prefer" could be for a number of reasons outside taste, so no matter how delicately it's phrased they still won't be the same question. :relief:

What you're asking is which of these places they go to. If you want to say which do you like better, How about these ?

日本のどこかに行く方が好きですか？(日本を旅行する方が好きですか）それとも、海外に行く方が好きですか ？

No doubt there is a way to merge the two alternatives into a single question but it feels awkward and loooong with どちら for some reason.

暖国と寒国ではどちら（のほう）が好きですか？暖国と 寒国と is fine, too.
暑い国/寒い国 would be more common expression.:-)

JFYI,

厚い: thick <--> 薄い: thin
厚い本: a thick book

暑い: hot (weather) <--> 寒い: cold (weather)
暑い日: a hot day

熱い: hot (except weather) <--> 冷たい: cold (except weather)
熱い湯: hot water

These three kanji are not interchangeable.;-)

Elizabeth, thanks for the reply on 4. I know hou ga is used for asking which is liked, but I wasn't sure if one could simply replace ga with ni when talking about a place.

「暑い」は、気温が高いこと、「熱い」は、お湯などの温度が高いことを表しますね。


これと同じように、暖かいと温かいの使い分けは：

「あたたかい」って全体として感じる感覚に関して言ってるのでしょうか　　
気温などは「暖かい」という使い方で、　

それとも、「温かい」というのは、「気持ち、心、感情を表すとか、指、手(本体部）で、お湯の気温を感じた り」時は、よく使いますね。　

要するに、　気温、気候などの場合以外は「温かい」の方だと思いますね。

「あつい」に、「あたたかい」の相当するような相違点は見つかれたと思います。。。

その二つの漢字は交換できませんが、日本人でも「温かい、暖かい」を上手に使えない人もいます ので、「ニ ュアンスが変えてこない」と思う人もいるでしょうね。

　
まあ、最近の若者の書き方は変わってきてるから、若者言葉を学びたいのなら若い人に聞いたほうがいいかもね 。:relief:
