Ever since the introduction of big Scandinavian men during the colonial days, it seems it is slowly getting harder and harder even for Japanese males to get a girl.

There is always talk of how gorgeous this Asian-chick is but nobody even looks into the Asian-guy. Is it all a matter of wealth? What is the secret?

Also, I have very rarely hear that Japanese guys dating western girls but I instead I hear western guys dating Asian girls alot more often. Another issue rises that there are more Asian males then Asian females, added with a western competitor makes it near impossible to date asian females.

Opposite of western men, Western girls ( i.e. that blonde chick ), never dates Asian males for some reason. And to top off this problematic situation, Western girls hates Asians when her dream love is no longer interested in her, but will not even approach an asian male.

Some arrogant western guys even make a mockery of asian guys on the net by saying things like "a bigger thingy is more important than bigger brains" or something to that effect.

Why is it impossible, as an asian male to get a girl nowadays?? Why are western girls asexual to all ethnic guys except their own ethnic (preferably anglo and nordic)?? Is it some dominatrix persona they have, such as Eva Braun??

Especially Japanese.
If i hadn't allready meet the love of my life i would be totally keen for an Asian boyfriend.
It does seem difficult to get their attention when your white though :(

When I was in Japan, all my Japanese male friends had 2 to 3 girls each. Back than , most succsessful married Japanese men had at least 1 girlfriend on the side. Most non-Japanese males who could not speak pretty good Japanese were stuck with bargirls who spoke hammered English. It seemed good ol Japanese country girls wanted nothing to do with non-Japanese guys.

Ah... well same here though... Currently, I am away from Asian girls for too long, residing in a WASP town of 100000 population or so, for apprenticeship training.

Alot of the girls, who are raised in a preppy lifestyle seem to want nothing to do with outsiders like me. They are friendly and I will give them that credit, but in a way it also feels a bit empty.... I can't get close.

Also reading history from the days when Jim Crow laws are in effect during the very early 1900s where African-Americans are publicly executed from befriending a WASP women, still give me the chills though.....

At least uncle frank here will have a smaller chance of being lynched then I am.

Secondly, Japanese society works a little differently. Many/Most people don't start dating seriously, if at all, until university, and it's pretty juvenile stuff to watch them going through the motions.

I have seen a lot more east-Asian male/cauasian female couples in recent times. It's hard to define and put into words without sounding racist, over-general, etc., because basing anything on race and culture is tricky. I'm half asian, I look .. Hawaiian or something, I'm told. I have a bit of insight into both sides of the coin perhaps. I've dated caucasians and been 'the Asian bf', and I've dated Japanese girls and been 'the gaijin' bf. Overall I just think the more visible a group is and the more accustomed to them people are, the more inter-mingling there will be.

Interracial couples are increasing across the world, not just the white-Asian dynamic.

On what data are you basing this observation? It appears you've never been to Japan.
I live here, and from what I can see, Japanese men aren't having any trouble finding Japanese women.

The story of white guys always getting Asian chicks and such is VERY over inflated... Don't even pay attention to that.

Asian, Japanese guys, can get a girl just as much as anyone else can from everything I've seen.

I think it's a natural attraction on some level because both cultures are so different there is alot of curiosity on both sides. It's not to hard to see why western men are attracted to asian women and vice versa.

However, sometimes some of the Japanese men I meet (cannot vouch for any others) just are SUCH BIG PAINS that I think that even their own mother does not love them sometimes.

I friend of mine, very white, very pretty, very blond, had been with her Japanese boyfriend for many now and I do not think that he has many problems now

I've been here for a couple of days now and although part of what the thread author said seems somewhat true in Japan (ie: not so many asian men with foreign ladies), asian men are quite popular among ladies in EU...(well at least in France and the UK afaik)

This is mainly thanks to all these Korean dramas and all this stuff, and all this thing about foreigners getting all the girls here isn't that true anymore =)

Just last saturday we went clubbing and for some reason, my foreign friends couldn't get close to any of the girls there while two of them came to me and tried to make conversation (although they left quickly when they noticed that I couldn't speak japanese).

Also, I personally am not the picky type and although it would be a big lie to say that appearence doesn't count at all, I would feel bad if I was to date someone only because she's the western/asian type.

If you can't get a girl, don't just turn around and blame it on the first reason you think of. People tend to do that with their race. It's in your imagination!

I think most people give you more of a chance than judging you by your race.

Also, if somebody is petty enough to turn you back because of race then it's their loss. They will experience a limited life if they are like that.

Japanese girls look sometimes weird to you (if your white) because in their eyes your a 外人 wich has to do with history. Anywayz it is the person not the race or whatever you are imagining. It's just that some people like to have an asian girlfriend/boyfriend or others like european girlfriend/boyfriend other african girlfriend/boyfriend etc... It has to do with the person his/her mind and her/his taste for people. And it has nothing do with races because here in Belgium many Chinese girls have a Belgian boyfriend and reversed also. It's just the person's personal opinion about people.

anyways I'm Asian and have no problems getting girls of any race, but then again im half asian...

Like someone else earlier said on these thread, the Japanese girl/gaijin guy couple story is waaaaaayyyyy overinflated. Yes, there are more Japanese girl/foreign guy couple than the Japanese guy/gajin girl counterpart but it is kind of different.

Looking at it from a gaijin perspective and having lived in Japan quite for some time, I now think that Japanese girls see us Gaijin males with a 'curiosity' way of thinking. Better put, we are more of a novelty than anything else. They might like Gaijin guys a lot but the cultures and personalitites are way different that, after all, these Japanese girls will prefer a Japanese guy than going outside the box dating a foreigner. Most of them think it will be a pain in the back and just stay with what they are used to.

This is an interesting discussion (at least to me). I'm Asian (Chinese), and to be honest I find more Caucasian and Latin women approaching me than Asian women. Some of this may be due to natural shyness and cultural values conveyed through environment and social mores i.e. modesty, reserve, etc. but I don't think it's necessarily the case for those Asians born and / or raised in Western societies. Also, as some have astutely pointed out, there is some sort of "novelty" factor involved.

To the original poster, I'd encourage you to focus far less (or not at all) on ethnicity, and invest more time and effort into understanding both yourself and the other person who captivates your attention. I know alot of Asians tend towards the shy and quiet end of the spectrum -- if you're like that, why not make efforts to break out of this? I had to do this, because I was painfully shy growing up. Even now there are times when I retreat into a shell of reserve because I'm uncomfortable! It can be done, though, so consider this a gentle push to get out of your comfort zone a bit. = )

Actually, to everyone I'd encourage you all to extend yourselves and be the brave one who initiates contact. Don't go into things with preconceived notions e.g. "oh, she won't want to talk to me" or "gee, he's just so shy and he'll simply retreat, what's the point?". Nothing ventured, nothing gained right? So give it a go!

Outsourcing makes sure all relationships MUST do with ethnic. Many people of certain ethnics are completely abandoned. People will not even talk to Indians or Chinese or even file a divorce as a protest against poorly planned outsourcing. All of them can't even find friends outside their ethnic anymore, that is reality. Most people (90% of world) are pretty much like Sarah Palin, evolution can reverse......

Hm, well, that you are not trying to hit on them, that I can believe, trust me, actually I do have a few Asian online male friends (well, not here @JRef, but on an another forum) and they are very friendly but never "crosses any lines" or "taking any chances" or even saying anything remotely personal except that some may think I'm pretty ...
... ok, not that I care that much, I don't have a X on any of my online Asian male friends either ... even if one of them is stupidly cute, but he has a gf already :o

Well, I don't know about that movie-actress-like figure (it's actually more common that Asians are very thin figured, so to speak ... ) but I'm naturally very pale and blond with blue/green eyes :-)

I'm pretty sure Asian guys have an easier time with white girls than White guys with Asian girls.
Any Asian guy who is having trouble getting a white girl is either living in the wrong place, or is ugly.

I've only seen one white guy Asian girl couple in this mostly white and black town, and several, more than three Asian guy white girl couples.

Well...

I know of a few stories of japanese guys dating western girls. I heard also western girls staying in Japan complaining that they could not get the attention they were expected from japanese males.

I heard also that girls having dated a japanese person and a western person would find good things to the japanese also: usually much more attentionate, even if a little bit shier.

These so-called interracial relationships tend to mislead the secret ulterior motives of western males. Its always the western males that gets the girls with zero effort, on demand at the snap of the finger.

Asian males get a western girl? Expect lynching by hooded folks in the next 30 seconds.... yet its okay for them (big mean western folks) to steal other girls for there pleasures, such is the double standards of dating discrimination in western society.

Too add injury to insult, Asian males will be given cheaper jobs, less promotion chances and secretly steal his girlfriend/wife assuming he has one. Say a word the westerner boss will fire you and give the Asian girlfriend he stole from you your position with much higher pay.

Western men dates any women from any ethnicity with ease and nobody says anything.

Asian male dates western women and western males try to make the Asian guy's life a living hell up to and including hourly lynchings by hooded men.

Western guys should really Asian guys a break, not to mention that any Asian male who actually gets a western girl DESERVES a spot on the guiness world records for being one of the most sucessfull people.

The effort it takes for Obama to be president is the effort it takes for an Asian male to get a western girlfriend.

Not to mention that the "lucky" Asian male must then hire bodyguards, lawyers, insurance agents, government officials, etc. to protect him and his future family.... from lynchings by hooded men just around the corner like always.

Not to mention the first nukes were dropped on an Asian population and many more westerners are more then eager to drop the rest on other Asian territories too with no regret or remorse for their actions.

And the whole derogatory hate filled insult about the "Asian small thingy" too is just disgustingly everywhere.

The whole "hate Asian guy" thing in the west is so severe that I have to wonder what has the Asian guy ever done to the western man to deserve this??

How does it not make sense? Western males make a big fuss about it when Asian males become friendly with western females.

Western males cannot bare the fact that non-western men can date western women. They will not allow it, period. They will fight tooth to nail to break western-women and non-western men relationship with everything including the kitchen sink and more. And that is barely scratching the surface of the depth of grudge western men has for Asian males dating western women.

Western males however, can take women from other ethnicity, all while keeping a (or multiple of) western mistress on the side and on demand, due to a superiority complex westerners have over their "lesser undesirables". Asian males are not allowed to say anything.

I think most young people in todays world are pretty open about inter-mixed dating. Your discription sounds like it's from the 1950's or before or maybe what today's skinheads/KKK members believe.

Absolutely, should a coup-de-tete(sp?) ever happen in a modern western nation by their respective stormfront ultra-nationalists, they will persecute these people with impunity and to a cruelty at the level that is enough to make Japan's past look innocent. Yes, westerners hate Asian males that much and its an understatement.

I heard that the Germans are kinda ticked off today too, the part where Turkish males are marrying German females and converting to Islam is stirring up resentment amongst German males who are slowly becoming more nationalist.

Look at Mai-Lai massacre during the Vietnam war, Western men never went this far when they where in Europe. Then look at Guantanamo, Abu Gharib and Nicaragua. The nuke was never used in Europe. And that is barely touching the surface, infact in missed alltogether. No doubt, westerners probably have a militia even worse than unit 731 that is hidden from the public.

This is clearly a message from western males of how they view non-western males and that it is what they would do if a non-western male where to date a western women.
