Looking for japanese people to correspond

we are a couple from portugal, and we love japan. We love his culture, and his people. we want to correspond with japanese people, by letter or email. So we can learn more about the country that we love so much.

too bad there seems to be very minimal traffic on this site. i wish to learn Nihongo too, but it's sad nobody has yet answered my emails. methinks they thought it was spam.

That and also most japanese people don't understand english (and those who do are usually very busy).
If you are able to use japanese though, there's tons of websites for corresponding.
