Hi!
I'm Raichi, and I'm 17 years old and live in holland.
I graduated VMBO and am now studying HAVO, which I, if I succeed, will graduate in 2010!
Havo/vmbo/vwo = en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_in_the_Netherlands
I want to be a mangaka in Japan!
My second choises of careerplans:
-actress (japan, usa)
-voice actor (japan, usa)
-singer (japan, usa)
-language teacher (japan, usa)
well, you see where I'm heading.. ABROAD LOL xD!
Though, I'm having trouble finding schools/colleges in Japan teaching in this area..
Can anybody help me in my search please??
Or give me advise on how to search or on my career plans?
I can't speak Japanese, I only know words and am momentarilly doing self study on verbs :p
If possible, I'm searching for anything in, or close to Osaka.
Thanks for your help!

If you first go to a Japanese language school there`s plenty of manga schools in japan, that will help you find work ones you graduate... for example my school http://www.neec.ac.jp/cie/us/

#1 piece of advice.
Study lots more Japanese.

#2
Realize that manga artists are in a real pinch these days, even the Japanese ones.

thanks a lot, the school looks fantastic!

And yeah, that's why maybe I can have a second job besides mangaka, to make sure I never get in trouble with bills!! D:> if it could be one of the others I named with the school's diploma, then it would be awesome!
And I want to be a mangaka assistant first, wouldn't like to jump in the deep like that!

I guess, usa would be much easier because I already speak english.
But to become a mangaka would be much more efficient to work in Japan, besides, I'll have to go there to college anyway, since there's no other schools in other countries that teach about mangaka etc!

So yeah, thanks!

Kyoto Seika University
Faculty of Manga

Otemae University
Department of Media and Arts

And you can find several Jr. colleges and "senmon gakkou" private vocational schools.

Shikao Suga is a Japanese musician and singer-songwriter from Tokyo.
...
After graduating from Tokyo Keizai University, he worked as a "salaryman" for four years in the advertisement industry.

If I remember correctly, he failed to pass the entrance examination twice and he started his career a bit later after working for a company, but he now becomes a popular singer here.

And 'Robotics' is the major of the Chinese woman, Ms. Lee, who won the model contest.
