Since I'll be moving in a few month I need to plan on how to throw some of the stuff I had.

So how do you throw away a furniture?
In my case its a study table with a wooden chair. I cant think I can sell it to a recycle shop considering how badly broken it is.
Kindda look like this (same brand) but older type (http://www.kurogane-kks.co.jp/home/writing-desk.html)

The only one way I know if calling the cleaning center that handles this kind of thing. (the number is on the poster on how to separate your trash)
And It seems you need to pay for it. Anyone have any experience on this and know on how do they charge for it.
Thanks.

I don't know how much it is in your area, but the gomi center in my area charges around 1,260 yen for a large item like yours. There is no other alternative in Japan right now.

Before doing that, I suggest you look for all other alternatives, including recycling shops. Maybe take a digital pic and show the shopowners how it looks like.
Also, there might be other students who would like to have a desk like that for free!
Try exhausting all such options before calling the gomi center!

Alternatively, if you cannot find anyone to give/donate/sell it to and you are in the mood for a good workout, you might try to saw or axe it into small enough pieces to put into regular garbage bags for gomi day.
