I wanted to share a set of new research forums including a general forum for Modern Japan.

These forums are moderated research forums, open to all, but primarily for students and researchers of various topics in the many areas of East Asian history.

Postings are welcome which:
-ask and answer questions related to research of topics represented by the various forums
-briefly summarize the results of primarily academic research or newly available papers, books, and online materials
-share information about online and offline sources of information
-share information about events (conferences, presentations, etc.) related to East Asian history

Unlike this wonderful forum at JapanReference.com, the forums at ChinaJapan.org are NOT a place for the free and fun exchange of opinions on controversial issues related to East Asia. The forums were created as a place for people to get help with and share their historical research.
