Hello there!

I need some help as I will write my master thesis about discrimination and need some psychological scales and other things. Now, you might guess that my major is psychology, and I have lived in Japan for one year, so I am really interested in this subject.
But as I have searched for some racism and prejudice scale, I haven't found anything so far. :okashii: Actually, I was searching for a Japanese translation of the Modern Racism Scale or the Blatant Prejudice Scale or Subtle Prejudice Scale- but nothing. So, if anyone happens to know if there ARE any translations of these scales or if there are other scales who are used to messure discrimination, I would really appreciate it!!
Besides this, I wanted to ask you if you know if there are any differences in the degree of discrimination. For example, do you think younger people normally don't show much discrimination? Or people living in a city? Or richer people? I think that people having more contact with foreigners shouldn't have so many prejudices, therefore maybe younger people or people living in big cities are not that discriminatory, but what do you think? Some of you might have had some experiences...
Thanks a lot!

Of course there are degrees of discrimination. It's such a subjective thing, though, that social scientists have to make up their own scales. Why not do it yourself? Could be a lifelong endeavor.
