View Full Version : Japan during Yokoso Week
Hi All!
I'm new here.
Have just booked tickets to go to Japan from 24 Jan to 7 Feb during the Yokoso Week.
Based on your experience, do you think that it would be very difficult to get accomodation when I'm there?
My rough itinerary below:
1. Tokyo to Kyoto (2 days)
2. Osaka (2 Days)
3. Hokkaido (6 days)
4. Tokyo (4 days)
Appreciate all inputs!

Wow.
First of all, reine san, hajimemashite. Aurura desu. Yoroshiku ne. :haihai:
Also, Congrats on the amazing oppourtunity of getting to visit and explore Japan. I hope you have a wonder time there, and that you have a safe trip back home afterward!
If you could, would you take pictures while in Japan? It'd be awesome if you could share some of the things you've experienced there.
And of course, since I've never been there, I could not provide the information you're requesting about accomodations, but I did just want to tell you that I wish you all the best!

It shouldn't be difficult. You should book your room reservations in advance.
I am curious, are you flying from Osaka to Hokkaido? Also, Hokkaido really doesn't have all that much to see. Maybe a couple of days in Sapporo would be sufficient.
Hi All,
Have decided to leave Hokkaido out afterall.
This is my brief itinerary, let me know what you think.
Also, would it be really cold since I'm going from 24th Jan to 7 Feb?
Have been hearing that it's a bad time to go Japan. :(
Anyway, I'm Thinking of wearing T-shirt or Knitted Top, Sweater and a Trenchcoat together with thicker stockings and boots. Not sure if trenchcoat is sufficient cos my coat is so heavy, and not sure if i can do without my jeans. haha

Maybe I am reading it wrong, but you seem to be cramming a lot into each day. Maybe you're a fast walker? Otherwise, it looks okay.

Any suggestions to refine?
I'm not so sure how long I should stay in each area, so based on my own interest, I put on the max no of places. With hope that I can finish all.
Hhaha

I took another look and they seem reasonable enough. Just make sure you have plenty of street maps (get them here: http://www.jnto.go.jp/eng/ ).
You may get some ideas by going to the G-TOUR slide show through this website: http://www.g-fan.com
We visited many of the places you're interested in during this tour. Have fun!
