Hi everyone!
I want to go on a year long exchange to Waseda but I was wondering whether to apply for the IJLP program or the SILS program? I don't know anyone personally who has been to Waseda so I don't know who else to ask!
I'm working towards a BA with a Japanese major and a Sociology minor at my home university. So I'd like to go into the program that allows me to improve my Japanese and hopefully transfer both Sociology and Japanese credits back home towards my degree. I know that all the classes in the SILS program (except for the language classes) are taught in Japanese so I was wondering:
In the SILS program, how many Japanese language courses do you actually get to take?
And in the syllabus search on the Waseda website, there isn't anything (or maybe I just couldn't find it?) that lets me see what causes you can take in the IJLP - does anyone know what courses I can take or where I can find a course list for the IJLP program?
Also, in the syllabus search for SILS, when courses are said to be Advanced Subjects, how do I know if I can take them?
Hope I'm not asking too many questions!
Thank you in advance for any answers that I get! :)
