about Japanese universities...

I think about studying in a Japanese university in a few years and i heard it's possible for people outside japan to get in,but i don't know much...
I wonder if someone can explain me in details anout japanese universities?
I mean i know the system for japanese students,but not sure about international.
I know that Japanese students take university entrance exams (大学入学試験)
and i know there are some universities that take international students,but i wonder how...is there a possiblity to get into a Japanese university with the normal university entrance exams as normal japanese students?or is there some other way?
What about the countries?i saw some universities that take student only from particular countries...can i get into a japanese university with no connection to the country i'm from and just by the entrance exams?
And i'll be glad for more info,like the faculties?

Depends upon your Japanese skill and schools, but I am 79% sure that applying the special exam for international students must be easier than competing Japanese students.

Hey,thanks a lot pipokun!!
I looked through this site and it's really nice.
Well i guess japanese won't be too muchof a problem...language studying isn't really hard for me(got a talent:p ) i'm studying Japanese for a little more then a year now and got to around JLPT level 2...so i guess in few years(when i plan on going to a university in japan) i hope i'll know it much better...so guess language is not too much of a problem.

Just wonder,do you know anything about hmmm...cooking school?
(i mean i'm not sure what do i actually want to study in the university) but i think of becoming a cook/chef but never seen a university with such faculty...
Know anything about it?
And do you think i'll be able to work later in a Japanese resturant?
