hey all i was just wondering what will happen to a young girl in her 20`s that tried to kill her self i pulled her back on to the patform then took her to a coffee shop where thet called to poilce and took details off me the cafe workers that, helped me as she did not speak enlish and i speak o japanese. the police then took her away. will she be okay will they look after her and so on.
i know that suicide in japan i very different from the west as it is not seen as a sin but honurable and they are "going home" but i dont think a young girl sould have to end her life at such a young age and i hope that they will lok after her enough that she will not try it again.
please be honest and not just saying what i want to hear to put my worries to rest

First of all, it is really, really nice of you to have saved the poor girl from killing herself.
But please let me correct one thing:
i know that suicide in japan i very different from the west as it is not seen as a sin but honurable and they are "going home"

Maybe some stories and history are misleading (like samurai's seppuku which is known "harakiri"), but the suicide is as bad as it is in other countries, it is not honour or anything - it is a tragedy that one should take one's own life, for the person as well as the person's family, friends, etc.

People kill themselves as a way of escaping from something, to blame someone, or to demonstrate that they want to be noticed and helped... I think it is the same wherever you go. Sometimes it is not easy to find the reason but one thing is sure, the person is badly in need of help.

I do not know where the girl is now, and whether she's with her family or not, but surely people around her will try to help her. Please forget about the misinformation you've got about the suicide in Japan, if a person tried to kill oneself and failed, surely people around the person will try to prevent it and try not to let it happen again.

sorry i have trouble expressing my self some time what i was trying to say that japanese culture has devloped from origns where suicide is not a sin as it was in the other coutries that belive that suicide is a act where there is no redemtion and your sould will spend the rest in hell forever. i was not saying that it is not a tragedy but the idea that the soul will not be damed in to hell but a the current life is ended and there is a past and a future makes death less final. i hope this clears up what i was trying to say, i was worried that she may take a second attempt at her life as there is some thing less final about death in japan then in other coutries.

Could you clarify please? Death is as final in Japan as anywhere else.
