Hello,
I have a brief question regarding a word I found in my Japanese Romaji dictionary. I was flipping through randomly and I came across this word:
iroppoi, adj. 色つぱい sexy.
I looked up the kanji meaning for 色 online, and I found it had a few different readings. One of which was definitely iro. However, isn't the next character pronounced "tsu"? and the last two would be "poi." So, I'm not sure why it's read as iroppoi. Unless, the tsu is meant to be silent but affects the ぱin pronunciation? Or maybe it is in the same vein as watashiwa, where the last wa is spelled ha?
Thank you for reading my simple question. :D

1) That's 色っぽい, not 色つぱい.

2) Small "tsu" っ is not same to large "tsu" つ.
