Final Mix is a special Japanese version, only in japanese Im afraid. It added some new scenes and dialogue along with a few new enemies. The original one that japan got didn't have sephiroth, kurt zisa, phantom, or the gold match in it like we do in the us. so squaresoft decided to make a new one for japan that included the extra mini bosses and some new enemies and scenes and such like i mentioned above. ^

Kingdom Hearts is damn good game!! I still can't believe who is Sephiroth's voice actor... still it is good game.
Oh, and I can't wait till KH2. It looks so cool. I downloaded yesterday the trailer for KH2...

Kingdom Heart's is one of the best games that i've ever played (and the first one i've ever beaten) I loved it!!! MARVELOUS!!!
I can't wait until the next one comes out. I'm buying a gameboy just so I can play Chain Of Memories when it's released here in America.

Dudes, it's not that bad, really. I know I'm off the smiley subject, but someone mentioned not knowing anyone who has beat Sephiroth. I have, and it's not really that difficult. You don't want on Ars Arcanum or Ragnarok, but you need Sonic and Strike Raid. Basically, with the Ultima Weapon, Aeroga, and Curaga,no to mention elixers, you hack away at him from a distance, either hurling your keyblade ( by far the best of the two) or by slashing through him. Practice mastering both of these moves, so as to bet the full potency of each. In my next post I'll tell more.:D

His first bar gone, he teleports to the side, and does Sin Harvest. Later, at next bar, ne does Omnislash and Sin Harvest, and lastly he powers up, does another extremely powerful attack, Omnislash inbetween, and occasionally Sin Harvest to throw you off. Sin Harvest automatically kills you, unless you have Second Chance; it will leave you with 1HP, and no MP. when he teleports away, and says Sin Harvest, lock on and use Strike Raid or Sonic to IMMEDIATELY stop him. Any hit at that point will automatically throw him into a fire pillar attack, at which point you can continue inflicting damage. Do this with caution; if you don't hit him in time for it not to hit you, he will still go into the fire pillar, but your HP will be down. You are invincible during your attack, but he'll always hit you afterwards if you don't stop and heal.

Sorry for my misspelled words. Hopefully they don't interfere too much. Well anyways, stragety from beginning: first thing battle starts move forward, jump, and while in the air, cast Aeroga. If you time it right, he'll slash under you and jump backwards, while you protect yourself. It always works, and I've only messed up doing it once, not even the first try. Anyways, he'll just walk around slowly, slashing and jumping, and sometimes use his fire pillar attack. You can try to follow his patterns, and attack him, but combos will cause him to teleport behind you, slash, and then use the fire pillar on you, doing real good damage.

I just got kingdom hearts^-^ I have a question, in the beggining of the game they ask three questions. What is most important to you ect. I was wondering if these questions have any significamce to what happens in the game. They seem kinda important, but I'm not sure-_-

About the weapons or the children on the island?

The weapons are simple: Sword: good attack stats, magic wand: good magic stats, and Sheild: good defence stats.

As for the kids' questions I think it just reflects who you are. That's just what I think. Might be wrong.

It took me the longest time to figure out how to answer correctly. If I were to answer the kid's questions right i'd have a hell of a time -.-
I believe that the questions also set the difficulty of your boss battles, and such.

Well, the Game is coming out in Japan this Fall. (I think) It might have been a rumor. Anyway, have you seen "Deep Dive"? I think it's one of the trailers. It's the best looking trailer so far. If you haven't checked it out and don't know where to find it, just ask me here. O-O Anywho, the game looks really good and there are new people in it. heh. + they aren't that bad looking too. Like that guy with the red hair :D [weee!] Well, I only know of 3 people you have defeated Sepiroth in Kingdom Hearts. Oh and one of those people had to get Sora to Lv. 100 just to beat him! ugh!

i defeated sephiroth (yes i betrayed him... i felt bad)
but i beat him in level 88 and i continiued beating him straight,in a row and from lave 88 ileveled to max level.YAY!.but i was cruhsed when i found out that the Showdown Of Fate was in one of the final mix of kingdom hearts ... i foung out of this when i finished hunting down the dalmation puppies YES all of them :( beating everyone that came in my path even the optional bosses and pass the game in exepert mode just to find out that the showdown of fate was not in the version of hte game that i was using :(

if you pick the top answers to their questions, you will level up relatively faster. middle answers produce standard leveling, and bottom, of course produces slow leveling. However these effects are reversed at level 40. fast becomes slow, slow becomes fast. I would actually recommend slow leveling at first, since then you can play more than half of the game leveling up reletively quickly. by the way,am I the only gothic person here. I am new here.

Kingdom Hearts is my second favourite game next to Final Fantasy X
Beaten Sephiroth and done all the side quests.
That last scene made me want to see what the stroy will be like in Kingdom Hearts 2.

Sorry but that is kinda sad. Might actually be a good idea to stick with .hack or maybe you just need to get used to the battle system more.

Gothic people usually dress in all black (i definately do), sometimes pretend they are vampires (i definately don't), listen to stuff like rancid, anti-flag, rammstein (?) (i don't really know, i actually listen to rock instead,stuff like that) and have a devil -may-care attitude toward pain and suffering (DEFINATELY me, sorry for not caring in advance)

well you can download a rom a rom is an emulator that u can play games with...look i instaled king of figthers 4d gba ,7 months before it shipped out all u have to do is wait 4 d rom to get out then install it.
its better that buying a gba/sp just for 1 game

I've got an GBA, but my dad has the SP. :P I have FF Tactics for it and a few others, but I really want Sword of Mana. *drools* I played the original on SNES Emulater and it was awesome, though I never did get very far in it. I think it use to be called Seiken Densetsu 3. Awesome game... need CofM though.-

Heheh, there aren't a lot of games that I really like for the xbox.
I love Nintendo and PS2/PS games as well. (Seph kicks ayass)
I'm sure i'd own an xbox if it had enough games I find interesting to be worth my money. Halo2 and Ninja Gaiden are coming out though...not to mention Fable.
Haha! When those three games are released I suppose i'll have to put up with all the "hardcore xbox fanboys" giving me hell about my choice of video games -.-

It took me a week to finish KH on expert mode. Mind you expert was fairly difficult especially when a boss can kill you in 2 or 3 hits, 1 hit if you're unlucky. The monsters were nasty as well. I'd be tapping the heal button every two seconds. At some stages, I thought some bosses were just impossible.

Oh yeah, regarding to someone's message on the first page, if you wanna beat Sephiroth, the idea is not to lose sight of him. You should use manual target lock (if you don't already), it's a lot better.

I've never tried using the target lock because...I just never have...
My character isn't terribly strong either though. *still trying to beat all the bosses*
What about the grim reaper in Peter Pan's world?
He has this nasty habit of casting some sort of spell on your characters that kills reguardless of the precautions you take.

If you're talking about that ball that follows you, what I did was just fly around the corner. Also you had to cast stop on the clock to prevent the countdown. I thought he was a lot easier than that annoying secret desert boss.

The soundtrack for this game is pretty good. Though, I prefer Nobuo Uematsu's version of One Winged Angel over Shimomura Yoko's version.

Don't worry I know what you mean. I only played expert to see if what people said was true that KH is a game for kiddies. They are completely wrong.
The thing I loved about this game was that it was like watching an anime. Too bad it was not subbed. Billy Zane tries a bit too hard I reckon. And Mandy Moore ruins Aerith's cuteness and sweetnees. Yuffie was adorable. Squall made me laugh with his "It's OVER!" LOL.

Heheh, I wouldn't play KH for the longest time because I assumed it was just a kiddy game. But when I sat down to play it I couldn't stop, so I purchased it and....!
It's definitely much more than I thought it would be. The plot gets very dark and sad a ways through and the gameplay's definitely enjoyable. There're more than enough little puzzles and side-quests to keep you at it for awhile. I'm still trying to find all of Ansem's letters....and the dalmations. I've got most o' theee trinity marks though >=]

ohh those damn dalmations! that took me a while as well. I remember you get nice prizes for finding them all, oh yeah that's right, you get every gummi block *nice*. As for the letters, i remember you don't have to look for them (i think), for some reason i remember it was easy to get them all because one day, i looked through my inventory and i was shocked to find them all sitting in there. Those trinities are a little elusive yes.

Hahah, yeah this year WOULD be fun....IF I could actually afford all of the stuff you're talking about (or any of it, for that matter).
It'd be nice to get my hands on at least a couple new games, but i'm so busy i'd rarely be able to play them...and then there's the money factor.
I'm not going to worry about the PSP for now...seeing as there's no deadline for it. Those developers should really get a move on...constantly pushing stuff back.
Also, recently it's become a contest between graphics.
Gameplay is slipping...some of the stuff i'm seeing thrown out is absolutely ridiculous. I'd like it if a few more worthwhile games were released. (Especially for ps2)

kh has a great storyline, way darker than i expected from disney. the only thing that made me go, 'wtf!?!?' was the gummi ship system. i didn't even need to build a new ship, i couldn't figure out how to even use the gummi garage till 2/3 of the way through the game, and even if i did you can't build most of the ships anyway. but why the furor over the sephiroth battle? you can go online to any gaming website and easily find detailed instructions on how to beat him and all the secret bosses, that's what i did... :relief: *cough*

The KH plot was very deep and dark and I loved it much. I was really suprised when it started to twist.
I thought Rikku was quite nifty (personally) and even in his egg pants he was still cool ^.^
Ansem was like a Sephiroth wannabe...still looked cool though.

ansem was lame to me, typical bad guy who thinks he rules the world. he was all like, 'i'm big and bad and i know everything and you know nothing cause i lik to hide in the dark and make myself feel better, muhahaha!'.

and then he got beat by a 14-year old, a duck, and a cow that looks like a dog.

i can forgive seph cause he's hot and actually could've ruled by recruiting legions of drooling girls to do his bidding by storming midgar. however, anslem didn't have a fanclub. :lol:

I played the game on expert and on that mode, you just gotta pay more attention to your enemies - particularly seph. The only advice i can give on him is that you should use manual target lock. How you want to battle is up to you.

I feel kinda' silly because everyone says he's easy...I started the game on normal mode and then selected the easiest options from Wakka, Tidus and Selphy in the beginning. Sheesh...

Eee gads Ansem really is that lame isn't he? Too bad he doesn't have a fan base =[
I liked his white hair and dark skin o.O that look always weirded me out
He was hella easy to beat though. I don't even know what the point of attacking that big...ship....thing...was. Because it was SIMPLE! Past boss battles were much more difficult.
The ending was so nifty (and incomplete) that i've beaten the game about 8 times now just because I got bored. I'm trying to get el secret ending as it were. And then i'll play on expert. Yup...

lol. the final boss was so easy, that's part of the reason i have no respect for him. i never even came close to dying, as i did- repeatedly, too :relief: - on the other boss battles. he is cool looking though, but he was so easy it was a letdown. i got all puffed up with pride after him, went to go beat down kurt zisa and promptly had my butt handed to me on a silver platter. :bravo: i got the secret ending on the first try cause i had already beaten the main tournaments, and i found all the puppies too somehow (i only had togo back and get nine), and promptly cried tears of joy at seeing them in trenchcoats. there's something about dem trenchcoats... :cool: i played about halfway through later on expert, but i got bored and quit...i'm a fickle the second time 'round ^_^;;.

If you finish the game on expert, you get to see special statistics after the credits for e.g. number of monsters killed, number of saves made, how many times did you use cure etc. I must of killed like 5000 monsters i can't remember (i haven't played for a while).

My brother got a better save though - he managed to bounce the blue truffles 100 times and received a special certificate.

I liked the music for this game so i got the soundtrack and also the artbook.

actualyy, you don't have to get all the trinity marks, just get all the dalmations, lock every lockable world, and beat all the main tournaments (as, in not the gold or platinum battles). that's it. i was lucky in that i was very thourough in seeking out chests my first time through an area, so i only had to go back to three places to get some puppies i had missed...otherwise, i woulda been screwed. however, the screen that tells you how many dalmations you've found also tells you where they're missing from, i believe...

ok i beat him on level 40 and it was on pure luck (normal level) first i was kiddin with him beacuse i was playing rodeo to see how much time i stayed alive 1 minute!!!!!!!!!! yay my key is to hit him in air combos and he does meteor stand behind him until the big one

until u get used to it keep fightin him 'cuase he gives a TON of EXP up to 100

dont worry i know that you are facing satan in the face he is real and he desservs his 15 minute short movie where he appears in the ring

DARK IS YUMMY...................and leather is too :-)

The special ending is awesome. It's a pain to get it (although doing the Pooh sidequest is fun), but it is sooo worth it. It's fairly short, but the graphics are VERY good. Could've easily been Xbox graphics if some ignorant fool saw it.
Ansem looked cool, but he was patheticly easy. Even his final form, where he looks like he would be really tough, is a total wimp.
Seph on the other hand, is extremely hard. My level is either 89 or 90, and I can't beat him. Farthest I've gotten is taking away half of his health. He looks awesome too, and I absolutely love the One Winged Angel track.

Okay i was looking up KH and i found this site so i joined cause i wanted to say. HAHAHAHAHAHA.. sorry..*cough* uhmhem...I beat sepheroth at level 74 with the oblivion keyblade and i used ragnarok alot it helps a tone and i did use elixers and such but now i am level 100 with the ultimate weapon and i beat him without even trying slightly no trying at all i used curaga once 3/4 the way into the battle i beat him in like 1 minute when lv100 with the ultimate weapon he never pulled off the sin harvest or ever got away from me i owned him so very, very badly. When i was level 74 that was different he gave me a pretty big ass kicking but i won anyway.

I also own chain of memories and i am nearlly completed that. I have been playing for 16hours and i am in castle oblivion the actual stage.

I have to admit that I rejected KH in the very principle, because I someway was grow up and Disney wasn't my favourite cartoon, because I only like Anime after all, but then, someway I experienced a change, and once I tried it, wow, I was like "hey, Goofy and Donald seem to be chick now LOL". Till now, I loved that game, and KH2 is also a masterpiece. It is rare to see innovation about games nowadays like KH did.

Kingdom Hearts II storyline wise was great, however...to me, the gameplay was alittle bit too newbie friendly. I was hoping for it to be alittle bit more challenging, however it was too easy to learn, pick up and eat everyone alive in it. The Parry to me was a sweet and sour taste, it was great that with this new parry it allowed Sora to not always take free damage, however with the parry now in KH2, it has made fighting enemies and especially bosses in particular, far easier, for example the Sephiroth match.

You can parry many of his attacks which to me, completely takes away from him being a challenge. I've been able to defeat Sephiroth by getting hit only once, and I felt that was great, until I heard that there was this japanese player who could defeat Sephiroth w/out getting hit even once...and another person who could defeat Sephiroth blindfolded, yes, you heard me right, blindfolded, how? By listening to Sephiroth, he'll usually scream or say something before he does an attack, plus with the parry, it makes it possible, such is the power of the parry system in KH2.

Also the idea of the whole "Triangle" thing to do those special looking attacks imo made it okay, but in a sense fairly boring as well. Also, it just boggles me when I get Sora's Final Form, or worse yet, his Ultimate Form, where I just press the attack button twice and Sora will do about 1038429308409238 different attacks while airborne.

Looks fancy yeah, but to make, it takes away from the game, I wanted it to be challenging, however it is geared towards a younger audience so I guess I shouldn't be as demanding. However I prefered the Kingdom Hearts 1 gameplay, because things where imo, more difficult, fighting bosses, especially the secret bosses where far more of a challenge than the ones in KH2.

However, aside from the newbie gameplay, and the easy to lvl ups, I really did infact like Kingdom Hearts II, it was great overall.
