But another person said that it is not from Cain's:Feel. But simply that Gackt was just a guest singer or something like that.

I've just taken a look at that site on my home compy while waiting for my bathwater to cool down ( :giggle: ) and I'm sure that it is the place for sending emails. The heading by the first box says: "name" and the second one says "Mail address". I can't coherently read the lines above, but I recognise all but 2 of the kanji (which I can't find in my dictionary, probably because they're a bit complex and I'm probably misjudging the stroke count :sorry: ). There is the kanji for "saying" (or speaking, or talking), as well as for "way" or direction, and the word "todokerareru" which is the causative passive form (no, I don't know what it means either, my own-language grammar sucks! :bluush: ) of "todoku" which means "deliver" or "reach" (in a nutshell) - so I think it's safe to assume you can send a message this way. :p :D :D

I found a Malice Mizer Complete Discography- torrent from Mininova, and there were lots of pics included. I don't know if u have seen these, but they certainly surprised me. Like "Whhhaaat, Mana without make-up? Impossible!" :p Well, in my opinion, that man doesn't look like Mana at all but he surely must be beautiful ^^

I don't think Kami got enough screentime in Verte Aile Bel Air~Kuuhaku no Toki no Naka De~ (marvel at my ability to remember the entire movie name OFFHAND), I don't think they really knew what to do with him so they just made him randomly appear occasionaly.

My favourite characters were: Maid Mana, Higher Prostitute Mana and Kozi the Sucidal Clown (gotta love interpretational dance)

This one was from one of the last photoshoots MM did with Gackt in the band, if you look closely at Mana's makeup you'll notice it's similiarilty to his BoB makeup.

Bara no Konrai is a fantastic film but Klaha always seemed a bit like a pimple on a pigs bum in Malice Mizer at times his voice is so beutiful but it just seemed like he had walked into a click of friends whon hearts weren't in doing it anymore and was on the outside looking in i always kinda felt sorry for him

He always kinda looked like hired help such a shame for such a telented singer

I've been into to Malice Mizer for I about 2 to 3 months and I must say they have the most intersting style of Music and the range is so vast. From classicial, european (a good example of that would be "Tukisita's Noctume") and Industrial ("No Pains, No Gains" the hard hitting bass line and the anvil like "clang" is brilliant and to top off the unlikely mix of a harpsichord just makes it an interesting listening experience and has quickly became one of my favourites songs). Other favs are Mana's vocal on MM last album "Blood and Rose of Meeting Again" and "Au Revoir"


The hard hitting androgyny of the band is also what attracted me to them the bizzare sense of styles is colourful and the make up is super as well. Mana the guitarist looks like a woman with and with out his make up, its brillaint and flamboyant and he is the one who stands out to me. Its no surprise hes the brains behind the band. Then again I like Boy George and the whole New Romantic era which was colourful they reminded me of it and it just proves you can't keep a intersting idea like that down!


If you want cool Malice Mizer goods go to Otaku, its a online shop the customer service is excellent and if the goods that you want aren't on the site check out CDJapan and if its still avaiable they can get it for you. Yes he does the vocals for that song, he whispers so his voice sounds feminine its on the last track of thier last album "Saintly Hall Of Rose" and he sings it live also, I believe its a tribute to the late drummer Kami

And please, for the purposes of easier conversation, could you please refer to the songs using their japanese names as opposed to their translated names.

The japanese names are more well known.

It would be a dream if Malice Mizer came back.. eh.. and I actually have the Merveilles boxsett.. its awesome, but I have not seen through all the DVD's thoroughly(I have to hide it from my gf so that she wont get jealous and angry at me)^^;;

I wonder when the whole new thing with Gackt and Yoshiki will start.. its a bitr strange though since Gackt is doing soo great solo, but Yoshiki back in music is just fantastic.. Hmmm... Mana-Sama is deffenately using lip-sync.. Or he have an extreamly good microphone and voice disruptor. Becuase when you whisper like that in a michrophone, you have to have the sound up to a very high level to hear, and mostly when the "volume" is that high on a stage it catches other surrounding sounds and makes a terrible noise...

Well, judging by the fact that Mana said Malice Mizer is on "hiatus", I think that he's hopeful for a reunion one day, even if it's just with Yu~ki and Kozi. The three of them are the glue that has always held Malice Mizer together. I think that just the three of them would be enough for a reunion.

When it comes to the stage version of those songs, I think that in Sakai no Chi to Bara, he pre - recorded his whisper, distorted it, and just lip synched on stage. In Kyomu no Naka de no Yuugi, the vocals he did were already in the non - instrumental version of the song...so he was just lip - synching, like everyone else, heehee :)

I think it's great that Mana is always giving us little hints of his voice here and there. It gives us a little glimpse, though, not so much as to cease being the beautiful mystery he is :)

When it comes to the stage version of those songs, I think that in Sakai no Chi to Bara, he pre - recorded his whisper, distorted it, and just lip synched on stage. In Kyomu no Naka de no Yuugi, the vocals he did were already in the non - instrumental version of the song...so he was just lip - synching, like everyone else, heehee :)
I think it's great that Mana is always giving us little hints of his voice here and there. It gives us a little glimpse, though, not so much as to cease being the beautiful mystery he is :)

Well on Sakai no Chi to Bara live its only Mana-Sama that is lip synching.. or so I think.. The Yu~Ki and Közi's vocals sounds very live and they have that special "live sound thingy" to them(they do not sound as clean as on recorded version)

I love all the songs and videos.
Though if I had to choose an absolute favourite video, it would HAVE to be Illuminati.
They way it dipicts(sp?) sex/violence/sadomasochistic themes/etc so frankly, while not over-doing it and not being intentionaly shocking, I find very appealing.
Also, it's one of those videos which fits the subject matter of the song perfectly.

Malice Mizer went on an "indefinate hiatus".
However, certain key members (such as Klaha and Kozi) have said that they wouldn't want to be in Malice Mizer again, so it's highly unlikely that they will ever re-group.

The way the original post went, it sounded as if the 20 character limit was there just to stop silly short posts as you find in the music section, which it isn't, but it helps (Read music section (http://www.jref.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27798)rules folks, it is mentioned in there).
I admit there is discrimination of the forum and it is unfortunate, but as mods we try to keep it to a minimun and eject those who go way out of line, but when faced with a large amount of people of different ages and tastes you'll get this. Don't worry about the recent music section attack, it happens once in a blue moon. An older member suddenly has a bee in their bonnet about the music forum and has to have a winge about it. It'll die and vanish off the map. Believe me, I have seen this before:-)

If you like the music of Malice Mizer and Lareine, you might also like Blood. They also dress in a feminine-gothic-VK style, and their music is similar (although imo not as good but that's a matter of opinion ^^).

I too think that Kami's death was, if not 'cause' of the finish of Malice Mizer, at least a bit of the reason why it seems like MM could not really form again in some way like before. Personally I would not particularly want to see an attempt at re-forming (although I know some ppl feel differently), it would seem quite melancholy somehow imo, maybe the members feel a bit like that too... :clueless:

This maybe because I'm a major fan of Kami :relief: But I agree with you.

I think things after Kami died, were so different it wasn't really Malice Mizer anymore. It a little bit as if Mana or Kozi had left, they were there since the begining (or almost, in Kami's case) and I think, they really made the band what it was. And maybe that's what they felt too, and that's why they disbanded? I won't speak for them... but that's what I think.

And earlier on some said, that Malice Mizer hoped to get back together again... I think they WANT to but, it's more a dream then anything else... I think they know Malice Mizer is done. It's sad to say, but if they started Malice Mizer again it really wouldn't be the samething to me, more like a different band with the same name and style, but not as it originally was.

A Malice Mizer reunion could happen, but it would never be the same.. or the Klaha era would be the same perhaps, but its the Gackt era that really was Malice Mizer(in my oppinion). It would be like the Black Sabbath era without Ozzy if there was a reunion.(luckily I got to see Black Sabbath with Ozzy live^^)

Yeah I knew in the back of my head something was off. The jaw line looked completely different form Mana's.

It's true you don't hear much of those two (Tetsu and Gaz) ~ In relation to Malice Mizer... :relief: But I think it's because their more important works were with other bands and the People that most people consider "Malice Mizer" would be Mana, Kozi, Yu~ki, Gackt(even though he left), Kami and of course Khala.

Though they were Malice Mizer I don't think unless you were fans of theirs from the beginning that they are considered Malice Mizer...

And there's really nothing I can say Le Ciel and Au Revoir are really moving songs and that's why I like listening to them... It's not a bad thing to feel melancholic sometimes....
