It's really hard to name a best album, since each album has a very unique style, and they are all very good.
I really like the bold experimentation in Real.
Tierra works great as a whole, and it plunges you into a specific mood.
Heart has the largest no. of my favourite songs.
The instruments and arrangements in SMILE is amazing.
Ray has my absolute favourite songs in it.
My "best" Laruku album keeps changing as my mood changes. :P

Can you tell us what kind of music do you usually like? Then maybe we can give some suggestions.

I just named my fav song on each album. I like heaps more as well. ark was the hardest to find a favourite. For now these are my favourites for each album.

Oops, sorry. I didn't realize you asked the question such a long time ago.

Anyway :) Laruku is a great band, try it out when you're once again want to explore some new music. My recommendation would be "Heart", because it contains something for almost everybody.

I heard they were doing a 15th anniversary concert too, and there's a site where you can vote for what songs you want but i've forgotten what it is ;-)

To be honest I'm both really excited and a little...apprehensive about it. I haven't quite gotten over some of my issues and it'll probably take their new album dropping for me to do so. Part of me knows it'll be the best thing since sliced bread but other parts of me are slightly more pessimistic. But I really want the album to come out so then I'll know for sure! :-)

@ hyde- i know what you mean. Personally, i think Laruku's best time was their Ray/Ark era, i think they released their best songs then, and since then they've had a few good ones that stand out, but not whole albums that are completely mind blowing, like Ray and Ark were. Well, maybe that's just me, but i'm a little apprehensive myself. Then again, hyde's had a brilliant solo run, so there's still that potential for creativity there :-)

I just feel like "Awake" was their last album. Final. Done. End of story. So, this is sorta like if Malice Mizer put out another album, it just feels a little weird. It's not that I feel their best era is passed, though I understand that, it just feels like they're done. The last thing I want is for them to be like an anime that just never knows when to stop and over-shoots it's ending and drags on for 20 episodes more than it should.

Okay I have a question. I have a L'arc PV and I have no idea what the song is called.

The PV starts off zooming into a mansion where Hyde walks into a room and sits down to look at pictures of paintings. The camera zooms into the pictures which become 3D and then animate. And the band plays inside the paintings. What is this song called? Can someone please help?

Hmmm those programs don't work that well try this this is what i use the draw back is you don't get full screen

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and download the player and encoder there full free programs

right then go here

Copy the url of the youtube video into here and dowload then add .flv onto the end of of your files name remeber to rename you file as you download or it will overwright but dont add the .flv until it has downloaded

Ok once done browse it into the encoder set the movie side to 800 by 600 the framrate to 30 and the bitrate to 1600

You can encode it to an mpeg and mp3 but dont keep it as an flv it will enlarge and you will loose no qulity

The screen will be about the size of the full screen on youtube

I'm going to their 15th anniversary concert this month on the 26th at the Tokyo Dome!! Ah. We had a music-contest in our english-lesson yesterday. And guess who won? LARUKU. Think about it: here in Finland where nobody knows the band. But there were lots of people who liked it very much. Even the boys whose musictaste is, well, not so good.
I'm soooo happy :-)

Awesome band, I have a ton of stuff by these guys. FMA wouldn't have been the same without their soundtrack.

Some of the albums are a bit patchy, especially with different lead vocalists etc.

i heard that they will play a NEW SONG. but maybe, they won't play that SHINE coz in WHAT'S IN interview with yukihiro, he said that they will play another song they've made in Awake era.
mm....i hope it's not LINK, but realy-realy a new song.

actually, it's not a band. it's a solo work.
(need you to know, he want it to be written as 'TETSU69'. he said, it's an equal matter. so it'll look better than write it as 'tetsu69'. the letters size won't match for 69 degree if they written in small caps)

I saw from the ARK message board that L'arc performed "As One" and "Link" on pop jam. It's gonna air on tv next friday. Personally, i was a little diappointed first because I'm dying to hear a new song and they dont perform it. As One is not my fav and as much as i like "link", I would rather hear what their new song is like. It's kinda depressing that Spring has already come and no news for new single. Then i have to console myself that they, atleast, show up to play two songs. It's better than nothing i guess. And hyde got a new hair style so, i'm looking foward to dl next week pop jam thing.

The anime seems really interesting. I like strong female characters with historical settings, so it's just me. And great news, L'arc is gonna be at Music Station on April 6th. I wonder if it's for the new song "Shine" promotion or for 5 lives achieves. I just hope that they sing the new song.

Did anybody see pop jam performance of As One and Link yet? what do you guys think? I dont know anything about singing but i think he did "ok", i mean he can do it better. Good thing though is they all seem pretty happy together during the interview.

but i hope they'll. the OS version as well^^

and about playing a song they even undeciding the title or the lyrics, it's usual thing they do. as go back then to the past past time. even without lyrics, they can still play it on live, of course the worlds will be na-na-na, la-la-la, or the famous "hyde-go" hehe...kawai hyde.

I didn't like the new song at first, i was like "hm..OK", but the more I listen to it, the more I like it. How do I explain.. hm.. it's very tetsu-rish, very catchy and very pop. An ideal laruku pop song. I'm LOVING IT now, i cant wait for the whole version. :-)

Hey mico: I'm a bit slow. What i dont get about the kareoke thing is that hm..is it hydeless version? but if nobody has ever heard of the song in the first place, how are they gonna sing kareoke with it? I dont know..I'm lost.

same for me, Moelar. first time i listen to it, it just goes "so-so", like kid's song :? but the more i listen to it all day (and still listen to it now n try to put it on my sense), i just feel OK. imho, the song sound like these combination of "Still i'm with you+Vivid colors+Link" :souka: i can't follow it.

Thank you mico for sharing it with us. It's soo funny. I cant stop laughing at the phase where "my meat is not there" "cut slowly my human tail" "who kami? to kami" That's just LOL.

About shine, it has this really happy, poppish and fresh feeling to it. The best for spring time now. I cant get it out of my head, especially towards the end where the chorus is really catchy and I was like "awee.. that's it? I want more". For me, it reminds me more of tetsu's "Can't stop believing"/"the new song" they sung in 15th anniversary concert. I just hope that shine is c/w with "Seventh heaven" single or else god knows when we will hear the whole song.

btw I'm wondering how you guys got into l'arc?

When I first saw heard "seventh heaven", i was like "wtf? a dance track?" hehhehe, i cant picture hyde's deep voice with that melody. Another "caress of venus?" I dont know, i guess we would have to wait until this friday to hear it. I'm hoping it to be a bit more rockist though.

btw...my Five Live Archives dvd has been shipped today from amazon japan. I think I would receive it by next week. Can't wait for it!! I'm sooo happy. I heard that the dvd would have 350 pages worth of l'arc tour pamplets. I'm really excited to get my hands on it. :wave:

If you keep track of time (mark the time right after he said "thirty one" and mark another time after the next "Where's heaven?" and before he sung "the answer is waiting under your feet". BTW. Official website has announced that "Seventh heaven"'s c/w will be Honey 2007 from punk~en~ciel. :-)

I do want Shine to be released with seventh heaven but P'unked honey will be very interesting. ^^ I can't wait for it. I wonder how tetsu will do it. I'm not a big fan of P'unked songs. The only punked I like is milky way. I hope honey is better than other punk songs.

as long as there still L'arc en ciel its fine with me. but the way yukihiro sung one of L'arc en ciel's songs in a Acid Android form scared me. ken sung stay away in a funny way too.
