Hmmm, this seems to be the right place to put this thread.
Recently, a survey was done of "who's body would you like to see?" ... naked of course and was referring to men.
5. Gackt (he's got this commercial where he's jumping around nude... covered slightly)
4. Nakata (story was his body fat is like 3%)
3. XXX Yousuke (hmmm forgot his name but he went on a dream date with one of the Kanda sisters ... I'd pass)
2. Takizawa (one of Jonny's Jr. who's always Mr. Popular)
and number 1 is ......
Beckham .....
lolololo .... soccer and his book which my wife even bought has moved him to basically "hunk of the year"
This survey was done by a TV program and the average age level was quite high. Probably up around 40+. Hmmm, I wonder who it would be if the average age level questioned was much lower. But, still, some grannies who have no clue to what songs he sings saying that Gackt would be their choice was quite amusing.
Is it just me, or does Gackt look like a woman?

I'm not sure about that. I think he pretty much looked like that when he started out with Malice Mizer. I don't think he had the means for plastic surgery before they got popular.

I have heard this along time ago an just remembered it when I read your post! please dont be alarmed by my question, I married a man with only 1/2 the amount of body hair than I could have imagioned! all of my 6 brothers are like apes and the first time my husband took his shirt off in front of me(I knew him maybe 8 years at the time)I was so shocked at the lact of body hair, I was used too the hairy chests, arms, upper arms, even throats, and at any time you could tell when one of my brothers needed a shave(usually from the ages of 14)so this lack of body hair was unfamilar to me, so tell me please!!

I have always liked Kimura Takuya.... but he does seem a bit too aware of his charms ;o)
oh and my Japanese husband has body hair! haha..... he even had a moustache at one point.... ( I think he was showing off that he has facial hair...haha....)

Alright. I don't know how old this thing is, but just to clear things up for everyone.
For all of you- whether you know or do not know...
Jrock is obviously-Japanese Rock. Most Jrock bands tend to be 'Visual bands'.
Visual bands are (from what I've seen) made up of very lovely feminine boys...intentionally feminine..boys who play hard on their instruments and sing and what not. Surprisingly, visual kei (as it's called) attracts mostly the female crowd. Har har har.
Gackt was once in a Visual band. Malice Mizer. A gothic/metal band who are currently disbanded. The bassist, Mana is very popular to have actually REALLY started the whole feminine part of visual rock. He..Yes, HE...is the only band member who wears a dress and all that. He's got his own band now, Moix dix tois. Or some crap, I didn't spell it right. >.>;
Gackt, however...is solo. He's dropped the gothic look, is all pop rock...and I'm surprise I love him as much as I used to back when he was in Malice Mizer. Because he looked killer with long hair and all.
Anyhow. I highly doubt Gackt has ever done plastic surgery.
Visual/Jrock bands have ALWAYS consisted of feminine, attractive, 'metro' guys. And you know what else? He's not gay. If you were to go by just looks, the whole Visual/Jrock organization would be gay. Women like Gackt's, and other artists' feminine look. It's attractive. Hell, you know it is. But, if you happen to see Gackt's 'gay' performances, or interviews...It's because there are ALOT of boyxboy fans out there in asia. If you find a Gackt/Jrock fan I guarantee most of them go for the whole gay thing. I squeal like alittle girl during this one performance where Gackt unzips his guitarist' shirt, shoves his face into his crotch, and then straddle him-finishing off with a kiss on the hand. I squeal just as others did, during that concert. (Gackt's Mars Tour. Song: Vanilla)
Though...Gackt has been asked about his orientation. He said that he loves women, and he's had both physical and emotional/spiritual relationships with women, and with men it would be STRICTLY only spiritual/emotional. He also finished off that statement with..
'...and if anyone thinks I am bisexual after this, go ahead.'

Oh yeah. Regarding Gackt's package.
During his Utaban interview, he was asked what he wasn't afraid of showing off.
He said his body. Then, the host responded with a question.
"I've been told that you walk around your hotel room fully nude. If someone were to go to the door...room service; for example...You'd just answer the door as you are? Without getting clothes..or..?"
Gackt: " Well. It is MY room."
Host: " Well..I mean...What if...people think your..G*A*C*K*U*T*O..is.."
Gackt: " Oh...You mean junior...?"
Host: "Yea..well. What if they think your junior..really is..a junior.."
Gackt: "Oh. Well, I'm a magnum.."
Then everyone breaks out in laughter and squeals. They notice Gackt is laughing too (Which he seems to try to prevent alot.) and ask him if there's something funny going on, like if he's lying.
He replies: "No..no..it's just...I.didn't mean to say it on national television."
It was along that sort of thing..I don't remember it all that well.
He also loves 'sexual play' and doesn't do it too much, so when he does he can go for like ...8 hours, since he doesn't really like it as much if it's short like an hour or so. He says there's alot of positions to go through.

About the plastic again..
Gackt claims he was born 1541...but resources show 1973 in Okinawa, Japan. I'm not really sure, I lost track. So basically ...Around Malice Mizer he had his same face...except noticably younger. I noticed, atleast.
Gackt has always said 'Why do something if you're not the best at?"
During his childhood, his parents were very strict..didn't let him play all that much, watch television, or listen to the radio. They forced classical onto him, and he learned how to play piano among other instruments..(piano,violin,trumpet,drums,guitar,ba ss guitar, a whole bunch of **** I don't know or remember. This might not be accurate. I jsut know he plays alot.) When he started with Malice Mizer and his solo career...he said he sang because he had done so much instrument playing.
Along with that talent, he is a very great martial artist. He said that the only person he can't win against is his father. Kehehehe.

Here. I thought this was hillarious. I got it from this person's site, who had just went on a trip to Japan..
I have good news and bad news. The good news is I have survived my trip to Japan with everything but my sanity intact. The bad news is I did not get a chance to see a live show while I was there unless you count the guys playing for free at Hibiya Koen. Ah well, next time.
That doesn't mean I've returned to the Flannel empty-handed, though. Oh NO. For while I was in Japan I discovered that their entire political structure is sham. Emperor? Fah. Prime Minister? P'shaw. I discovered that one man RULES Japan and everything in it� He is omnipresent, like God on a good-hair-day.
I am of course, referring to Gackt Camui.
Now, I knew Gackt was a celebrity in Japan but I never thought his influence extending to running the bloody country. The man is EVERYWHERE there, looking at out you with puppy-dog eyes from posters, billboards, the sides of buses, TV, your closet� It's eerie.
While I was in Japan, Gackt STALKED me. I am not joking here. I was there for ten days and on all but the last day when I didn't leave my hotel room because of a fear-induced coma I spotted something Gackt-related.
I took the liberty of keeping a journal while I was there and shall now present to you the various Gackt-sightings.
Day One - Gackt commercial on the hotel TV. In this commercial Gackt embraces a woman who then turns to water and splashes all over the floor. Gackt then crawls across the floor and cleans her up with a sponge. This ad was apparently for some sort of candy but I don't see the connection.
Day Two - Life-size cardboard cutout of Gackt in a camera store. Staff did not take kindly to gaijin licking the cutout.
Day Three - Bastard invading my dreams. Woke up with memory of having a dream about having a dream about Gackt. The while shopping saw a naked Gackt poster-ad, a naked Gackt in a commercial for� what, I don't know, and then THREE Gackt camera-ads in a window. This induced hysterical screaming and pointing on my part. The camera ad.
Day Four - Another Gackt commercial. This guy endorses everything. Wish I could figure out what the products are.
Day Five - Found Gackt doujinshi. I also tried that 'Soul of Fire' crap and discovered it tastes awful. Thanks, Gackt.
Day Six - Poster. Big man with a gun.
Day Seven - Wall of magazines with his face plastered all over them. Saw a photobook with enough Gackt in it to last a lifetime, too.
Day Eight - Saw a poster for Gackt phonecards. So there's Gackt holding phonecard with his face on them. This was odd in that this was the day I was in ******* OFUNA, the one place I expected NOT to see the freak. As you can see, his influence is EVERYWHERE.
Day Nine - Giant naked-Gackt billboard reading "Gackt Sexy." While I couldn't quibble with the sentiment, it still frightened my greatly.
Day Ten - No sighting! I thought I'd finally escaped his influence! BWAHAHAHA! But then Writer, who was in Japan WITH me and a witness to all the sightings, made me listen to his new album, 'Moon.' And you know what?
It didn't suck. DAMN YOU, GACKT!
So as you can plainly see, Gackt is in fact King of Japan. No, he's more like a GOD there. Fear him and tremble before his mighty power�

gackt rocks my world. :D i love hot japanese guys (check out idolthought.com- not all the guys are cute but some are) and he definitely has no plastic surgery. a lot of my friends are into gackt and altogether, we have this scarilily huge collection og gackt songs, pictures, videos, nude shots...ahem :blush: anyway, gackt is quite simply amazing in his music. he has this amazingly deep voice that made me fall in love before i even saw him, and his songs are so , uh, varityfull <i couldn't think of the right word, i'm gackt-wacked right now>. the guys from tokio and dapump are really good-looking too, and if you go to j-poop.com and check out their wallpapers they have some of gackt, dapump, tokio, and flame. :p . you think the 'magnum' incident is funny? you should see the one where the host tries to grab his crotch and he closes his legs fast, and then when the audience and host laugh, he grabs the host back :shock: . yeah, and the illuminati video from his malice maizer days...<hee hee> if he's gay, then i'm a kusai gaijin... :p

Um, no. That's like saying most American rock bands are alternative. VK is just a genre of it, and if it was most jrock bands that were VK, it would be a lot more widespread than it is at the moment.

I think he looked a lot better with long hair, but then he was running around taking pictures in bikini underwear which really didn't help my view of him at all. Actually, now that I think about it, he's not exactly frightening, just most of the pictures I saw of him were. He's not so scary... *must try to believe this*

The Japanese ideal is the bishonen - that is: the pretty, feminine boys. They´re supposed to look cute/pretty/beautiful and NOT manly. They´re suppused to have a really thin body, like a young girls almost... You might have seen this ideal in the anime and manga, where there usually are at least one of these bishonens (meaning "beautiful boy" simply) they are often mysterious and by our non-japanese standards a little "gay" - but they´re NOT meant to be gay, only attractively beautiful.
This ideal I find is awesome and totally sexy - I mean, Beckham is too manly, he´s boring. I hate all those muscles. Thin body is the best!!

He does look feminine, but doesn't act like a queer or a gay.
His voice is so deep and his attitude is quite manly, yet elegant.

But who cares if he did surgery, he has TALENT, he has a nice/great voice, great composing skills, plays several instruments, writes good lyrics, and he's is working like a horse to get all the music, shows and tours done.
But above all, he's a good person, you may think he's self-eccentric, but he's actually very gentle and sweet. A very human person, with deep thoughts and caring about others.
And from what I've read, he inspires people to live life honestly and to the fullest.

This is actually a problem for me, I prefer slim guys, but I have no problem with muscles. Yet, at the same time, if a guy has a little extra meat on him, it doesn't really bother me. I don't like those guys who have muscles on top of muscles, but some good abs, nice arms, and well toned legs are ok.
Gackt sometimes does it for me, but sometimes doesnt. Hyde is to short, I am short, and I need my guys to be taller than me, and not the same height as me.
Fav J-Rock looks are like Miyavi and Toshiya, cause they are slim but nicely muscled.
And it is weird cause I am attracted to the bishounen pretty boy look. But I also like masculine looking guys.

Gackt can't be gay. I would not be surprised if he is by, however. But he's got to be a woman-lover. My top five are not the hottest, but the coolest-looking in my humble opinion:

Many of you may say gackt is gay because he kissed hyde, but that is bunk. I am part of a crowd that does crazy stuff for fun. I've made out with friends, male and female. I can do it because I know it won't go any farther. I think Girls Gone Wild can even prove my point. Chicks screw each other, but they do it to get men. So they aren't gay. It is more of a curiosity or fun factor. I'm sure some of you have fantasized about a gay moment. I mean, I never have and never will want to be butt-plugged, but making out is harmless fun. And gackt did it for his career, so even that is an excuse. Still, I don't know the whole story.
Oh, and I still have not seen this moon child. I've looked in the library, blockbuster, and my peer-to-peer but cannot find it. I have seen enough screenshots to piece probably half the movie together, but no video. If anyone has it, or know where i can get it, post here or email me at Pemosan@Gmail.com. I would be most appreciative.
And lastly, does ne1 know where I can get those nifty little smileys to use on my AIM? And what are they? They look like personified Onigiri (rice balls), but that is just me...

sorry to bring back to life an old thread but I would like to say my part. I think its a matter of what people think is beauty. Personally I think that women are beautiful and men simply arent. Men dont have curves, nice facial structures, and overall beauty when compared to a woman. I think that people such as Gackt, hyde, and other visual kei types of people simply are expressing what they think is beauty. I also think its a matter of culture. I know that some of the women that like gackt's style dont find cacasian men attractive. Some of these men look simply barbaric to them. The europeon nose, the stiff chin, the facial hair, the body hair..its simply not attracitve. Its not that these women like gackt because he looks like a woman. He has good features that are considered beautiful (which again, is a woman quality) yet, is male and is aggressive like anyother man is. Thanks just my view on it.
Btw, I am male and straight,but I find people like Gackt and Hyde "cool" not sexual attrative. Also the music isnt bad either, as thats what I like first and foremost. True Gackt and Hyde can pass as females, with some slight adjustments...but id rather look like them, then a big brute, hairy caveman,barbarian.
