How come the typical Japanese girl is um...aggressive. Is there some...reason behind this, or is it just me?
Is it hard to find a decent girlfriend in Japan...? (please, no offense meant at all) :relief: :sorry: I'd like to know, because i'm going back to Japan in about a year...well no, in about 9-10 months. Last time I was in Japan, I was too small.

I've heard that Japanese girls can be aggressive in that they will pursue boys pretty strongly just in order to get them as their boyfriends. You know, like calling them all the time, chasing them, whatever, but not in the way you were originally implying(before I edited it).

What is the point exactly ? If Hitoshi meant they are more aggressive in their pursuit of status, money, and shopping than laid back and carefree or deeply concerned with other person's feelings I'd agree wholeheartedly. For many boys and women as well.

Yeh, the first time i ever saw my Korean female friends fighting was when i also realised i should fear Korean women. :D

I think if i ever did end up with a Korean girl, i would end up being their "*****". :( :D

I haven't had too much experience with Japanese gals (In Japan -there natural habitat- at least), but I think I'd kinda like having an aggressive girlfriend... As long as I'm not getting the crap beat out of me left and right XD

I think the correct word is 'outgoing'

On the whole i found alot of japanese girls to be rather shy until you got to know them. Cute, kind and innocent also come to mind. But above all some can be very outgoing (think about the movie; the bachelor but in japan hah)

I like it when freinds come over becuse then my wife lets me out of the cage in the basement :D :D Really she is a great gal (partly because she decided to marry me) but there is truth to all the talk about uchi and soto (inner and outter) in relationships in Japan.

I noticed this particular trend of women in Korean dramas. The young girls, though not shown often, tends to be okay, not at bitchy, though some are. When they're teenagers, they're really, really bitchy, especially to a guy. When they're in their upper 20's and maybe up to some 30's range, they don't ***** as much and tend to be nicer. When they're older, they complain a lot. :D

Hmm. I'm not sure if I can say this here, but I heard the best way to get an angry woman to forgive her guy is for him to provide oral, er, "satisfaction". Damn. so gonna get bombed by moderators :-S

Oh, and in keeping with the thread, woah! Just watched "My Sassy Girl" (2001, Korea), and boy does what you guys say sound familiar.... The whole japanese girls becoming aggressive in order to get a guy, however, sounds refreshing. In the UK the guy has to do ALL the work, unless the girl is drunk or unusually forward.

Umm... I think the best response someone could give you is a stereotypical response in which is saying that Japanese girls are shy until you get to "know them."

But when it comes to woman, I really don't think ANYONE can have any real main knowledge because they are all different! :sorry:
