Has anyone from the States used them in Japan?
I'm going to be in Osaka for 8 days from the 15th to the 23rd this month. I already have about 50,000 Yen in cash to take with me but I don't like to carry a lot of cash around with me anywhere (even in a safe country like Japan). I figured I'll bring about 100,000 Yen more in Amex traveler's checks.
Is it easy to get them cashed at any bank in Japan?
Should I get Amex traveler's checks in Yen denominations?
Thanks for the advice. You wouldn't want Golgo-ojisan stranded in Japan penniless and begging for change.
