Buying Manga to learn Japanese.

I'm thinking of buying japanese manga through the internet.
do you know trusted sites where I can order mangas from?
mangas with japanese text of course(not the translated ones)

Aclimate Solution (http://www.aclimatesolution.com/) did OK when I bought from them. They're cheap (also sell second hand) and if you need 'cheat sheets' they sell some manga series in Japanese with accompanying translations.

I've actually been to this store (well, before they moved). You can get all kinds of Japanese products here, but I can't guarantee that it'll be cheap. Anyway, it's Sasuga Books (http://sasugabooks.com/).

Well, I'd recommend buying a bi-lingual manga because I think it helps a lot when you are trying to learn. I bought all 8 volumes of the Love Hina bi-lingual manga and found it to be pretty useful for helping me with my Japanese (in addition to being highly entertaining :-) ). I think I bought it from Animebooks.com or something, but it was a long time ago so I can't remember. Oh yeah, and I'd avoid buying manga with highly advanced/technical dialogue, because you can go nuts trying to figure out that the next 3 pages they are talking about reverse nucleio-physical biomechanics :relief:

Lmao! That's so true. It's especially difficult when the technical terms are invented specifically for a given manga.

Probably better avoid anything set in a particular time period, such as Edo, as well because while the language is by and large modern a lot of dialectical endings and colloquialisms which the Japanese have picked up from samurai movies & tv shows and such but which are impossible for a beginner. In other words, I'm getting help on mine but don't make the same mistake. :)

On our web pages you will find Mangas already prepared with vocabulary and other explanations, but you need a PC or PDA to read it.
