There are many Otaku in Japan, Anime/Manga Otaku, Railroad Otaku, Computer Otaku, Military Otaku, Doll Otaku and etc... Most of all Otaku are common people. But some Otaku are wrong. They collect the goods by dishonest means. One Anime/Manga Otaku broke into Anime studio and he/she stole original paintings. Some Railroad Otaku stole train/station equipment or parts. And some Doll Otaku collect dolls at illegal. They aim at precious Doll. But it is not a high price, because it is an article not for sale, but we can see it everywhere. What kind of dolls are aimed? It is the Colonel Sanders, Donald of McDonald's, Peko-chan of Fujiya and etc... They stand in front of shops and are in critical situation always. Because they can not cry for help when a kidnapper appear. :relief:

Resale? :?

Now, many Fujiya's mascot Peko-chan are kidnapped in Japan, more than 30. And 22 April, a kidnapper who is Peko-chan kidnapper was arrested. But he is not a Doll Otaku. Why did he kidnap Peko-chan? He kidnapped Peko-chan for the purpose of resalling in Internet auction. There are many stolen articles in Internet. Some of Otaku buy it by large amount of money. And some of criminal steal it for the purpose of resalling. :(

Ummm... Otaku? I think that's a little too light for such people. "Maniaku" would better define people who are serverly obsessed. Otakus are what I'd like to define as mild manner collectors.

This story is a friend of my sister’s experience. But this story is a secret. You must not relate this story to others. Are you guys OK with that?

One morning, my sister's friends was very shocked when she woke up.
There was an unknown man sleeping in her room.
She lived alone in her apartment, yet here was a stranger.
She then calmed down and recognized that he was Colonel Sanders.
But she could not understand why he was sleeping in her room.
She had gotten drunk last night and she had no memory of what had happened.
She was embarrassed, because she was not a Doll Otaku.
She thought it over and she decided… She then went to the nearest river, threw Colonel Sanders in and told herself "I never met anyone this morning".

Definately interesting! I thought only soccer, hockey, and football fans got out of control when their team won the big one... and not such teams here in Japan.

Wow!
