I was sitting down earlier this week and trying to learn a couple new Kanji and I came across something interesting. Now first off, my way of trying to learn Kanji is by breaking them down into little stories or easier to understand combinations. So here it is...

Isogashii has two parts to it,

"心": Heart

"亡": To lose or passaway

Thus making, "忙しい": be busy

Now is it me, or is this a little too ironic?

That's how it is. Each of those "pieces" are called radicals. Basically, the Chinese formed other Chinese characters by combining characters. Each basic character is also a bit similar to what they represent. 木 (ki), for example, is a tree. It is very helpful in remembering kanji.

Cool method, I used to do this for english term papers and such. Will have to try this.
