During my daily reading of the Japanese Daily Sun (Nikkan San) newspaper, two words have baffled me: "Jagujii" (ジァグジー) and "Kajino" ( カジノ).
"Jaguji" is supposed to be "jacuzzi". So it should've been written and pronounced as "jakuuji" (ジァクージ). Then I realized that the Japanese word for "water faucet" is "jaguchi," so that might have contributed to the confusion.
"Kajino", from the context I found out, is "casino".
Would've been better as Kashiino (カシーノ)
But then again, I can never for the life of me convince any Japanese person that their pronunciation of "major" is incorrect. :p
