Whats the appropiate reply when someone says that to you?

You can reply back with はじめまして...it basically translates to "nice to meet you" and is used in a fashion similar to English. Since the person is introducing themselves to you, it would be rude of you to not do the same in return.
But I thought はじめまして was "How do you do?"
And whats the difference between はじめまして and どうぞ宜しく?

There are several possiblities, but something alone these lines should do.
Hajimemashite. (Your name desu.) (Kochirakoso.) Douzo yoroshiku (onegaishimasu.)
