The official term is 'unvoiced' or 'devoiced' but for most practical purposes silent will do ;-)

Yes. When an English-speaker says it, he might say it "Shee tsoo ray."

The Japanese do not exagerrate the "ee" and "oo" thus. It's much shorter and snappier. So they say it more like "Shits, Ray!"

Just imitate how the native speaker says it (he's always right! :cool: ) without seeing the words printed in alphabet on paper.
