I stumbled upon this forum while looking for a de-boning mackerel how-to's which I saw on UTB 3 minute cooking show a few weeks ago. The hostess had simmered already cut fish pieces and after cooling, pulled out the bones in a nutshell. I tried to look for a video clip of the show for exact steps but could not find any. If anybody knows the how-to on this, could you please share?
