Hi all! This is my first post here and I hope you can help me out. When I was young, my Grandmother used to make me a dish that looked as if you took damp bran and stirred it up, kinda fluffy, then added just a little thin sliced konyaku and a little thin sliced carrot. It had a sweet shoyu flavor, maybe a little fishy, with a kinda dry texture and as I recall, my Grandmother said it was some kind of tofu based.
I know this is a lame explanation, but it's the best I can do. I'm going back a lot of years. I'm really hoping someone knows what I'm talking about as I have really been craving this stuff for a while.

It would be "okara".
