I got into it by watching anime, to tell the truth I'm still pretty new at it.
My favorite band is The Pillows.

To be bluntly honest, a friend pulled me into it one day by introducing me to Dir en grey. By then American style music had already bored me so I was willing to try something new and awaken my music interests again. Anime's and stuff like that also got me into it, like Inuyasha, for example. But my friends have a major role in it, and now I too am dragging other people into the JRock/JPop scenes, jsut because Japanese bands and artists are so much better ^^

I found Jrock all by myself! Well, I started studying Japanese last fall, and then I think I thought it would be cool if I could find some Japanese bands and check them out, because Japan can't be only shinkansens and businessmen like it seems to be for most western people...First I found Gackt (had seen his pic few years ago, but didn't then know he is Japanese) and Malice Mizer and L'Arc~en~ciel. And Dir en grey too, first song was Mazohyst of Decadence
And now I'm hooked, and jrock helps me learn the language too

Gackt manages to look pretty on that picture in spite of wearing a Grandad jumper.

I discovered J-rock by googling something that had the word 'malice' in it... and the first page that came up was the projectj.net page for Malice Mizer, and I clicked on it, and at the bottom they had the song Syunikiss to listen to, and I heard it and I was really struck by it, it seemed a bit unusual and different...

I was an anime freak (still am) and I really liked that Naruto one. So I was browsing the Internet for some more info about it and came across a profile on deviantART called Spader7. And she said her favourte band was MUCC. So I lisened some of their songs and became an addict.

very long story^^...my cousin made me addicted to DBZ, Pokemon and such stuff so I got into Anime and Manga. Through that I made some new friends and one of them got another into Jrock, who burned me a CD (mostly Laruku, Gazette and Hyde) and showed me tons of PVs^^...I immediately fell in love with Reila and then the story went on and I discovered more and more bands!!

I first got into J-Rock by my friend Nathan. That is the person who introduced me J-Rock.
I would listen to it through his MP3 Player. I never, ever thought to listen to it over the Internet.
So, when Nathan moved to Japan, I quit listening to J-Rock. Then this other guy at school talked some common sense into me and told me that I could listening to J-Rock through YT.

Yeah Simple and Clean from Kingdom Hearts - great song imo. I then found Hikari and preferred the lyrics to Simple and Clean. I also loved Suteki da Ne by Rikki, think that was in FFX.
