なんだ (nanda)'s usage

How do we use nanda?
I hear it used as "daisukinanda" or "kireinanda"
doesnt nanda mean "what"? What does it mean in the context I mentioned?
THanks

First thing
Second thing な = だ, or rather the following process is used:

Sentence -> sentence のだ。 (e.g. くる。 -> くるのだ。 )

However if the sentence naturally ends in a だ then that changes into a な when it isn't at the end of the sentence.

That doesn't just apply here, there are quite a few constructions where だ turns into な.

So, back to your question, のだ, なのだ & なんだ all have much the same nuance. They add an explanatory tone. That is they tend to be used in giving explanations and in asking for explanations.

Where did you go?
Where'd you disappear off to?

I love ____.
(It's that / Because) I love ____.

I'm guessing that that was a typo. Should have been either どこに行ったのか or どこに行ったんだ, right?

Er yes.
Guess I couldn't make my mind up between them when editing.
