商品 is an item on sale, and it is used for shopping. But item is 物 if you are sent from your friends. and I added "連絡をお待ちしております". it means "Please give me an answer by return of mail". NANGI |

Konnichiwa Michaelkoh32-san!
You say your name, the point(your problem), your wish(solution), and "よろしくお願い致します" at last. I think you have not problem in your sentence. If you want to write polite Japanese, please write in English and post here. I(and friendly member who is familiarity with Japanese) can translate into polite Japanese. NANGI |

Sorry, I can't imagine this case exactly. And this translation is very vagueness.

Don't worry, the sense of text is not change even "心配でなりません". But if "worry" has other meaning... NANGI |

Is this more or less acceptable Japanese ?
まだ就学前ビザについての情報が届きません。通常届く までにどれくらいの時間が かかるのでしょうか? 今月の半ばには送信をしておりましたか? どうかよろしくお願い致します。 英語だと、Was it mailed the middle of this month ? はちょっと率直な言い方だと思いますね。If it has already been mailed/sent out, please ignore this inquiry のほうがいいでしょう。

警護 and such is always a pain in the *ahem* neck so I'll be interested to see whether my concern is way off or on target. [EDIT] There's a good keigo quiz at web-japanese - I might refresh my very rusty skills there after I watch another 25 minutes of anime.

My keigo skills are extremely lacking as well. After listening to elderly people use honorific "naru" forms with me, I'd pretty much thrown in the towel until now. Isn't itashimasu both honorific and humble, though, as well ?

Konnichiwa Elizabeth-san!
But there are two defects. One thing is a humble word "おる", and another is a "送信". PaulTB-san already said, this word "おる" is a humble word(謙譲語) and this word is used for only myself. In this case, "今月の半ばには、すでにお送り頂けたのでしょうか?" is good. And "送信". This word "送信" is used in computer network frequently, specially e-mail. But usually Japanese don't use this word in daily life. Because this word is a formal and stiff style. And "送る" is good in this case. ![]()
the full text 以前問い合わせさせて頂いた就学前ビザについての情報ですが、未だ当方に届いておりません。通常情報が届く までにどれくらいの時間がかかるものなのでしょうか? 今月の半ばには、すでにお送り頂けたのでしょうか? もしすでにお送り頂けた後でしたら、お手数をおかけし て申し訳ございませんでした。もしまだのようでしたら、いつ頃送って頂けるかだけでもご連絡頂きたいのです が。 どうぞよろしくお願い致します。 but don't trust me because I'm bad at polite words.

それにしても、敬語はホントにややこしいですね。 日ごろ耳にする敬語にも、誤用が多いと聞きますし。 以下のページなどいかがでしょうか? 私にはとても参考になりました。 http://www3.kcn.ne.jp/〜jarry/keig/keimn.html

This is a phrase relating to a mechanism specifically used in online auctions services and such. In this forum it would be "Please give me a good rep vote." You'll have to correct this ... もし私がいい買い手だと思えば、いいフィードバックを残してください。

"お送り" は正しい日本語です。 以下はただしい例です。 お借りいたしました。 お渡しいたしました。 お返しいたしました。 お聞きいたしました。 お下げいたしました。 動詞というよりも、動詞が名詞のように変化し、それに いたしました ということばがついたという感じ。 |
