Recognize This Idol?

Apparently very famous, but I haven't been able to find a name after many hours of searching. Her birthday is the answer to a trivia question in an online game I've been playing. The game has been more like torture than fun, but if you like scouring the web for odd-ball answers, check it out here.

According to the clue to the question, she could be considered as the "top AV idol" from Japan (although that would have been some time ago now), with scans by Bluebird, WestWind, Spinning and others.

you know i don't know much about j-idols, but she really looks like the younger version of hamasaki, ayumi. just look at ayumi's official web site and look at her modeling pics from way before!

Mmmm, I don't think it's the GoGo Yubari actress. I wish I could remember her name but it's just slipping my mind right now. She does have like the same haircut tho! And yeah, she does bear a resemblance to a young Ayumi Hamasaki.

I don't know who this is, but I think you guys are barking up the wrong tree... the clue given was that she's a "top AV idol", which is very different from any other idol.

AV = Adult Video

So she's not a music idol like Ayu or an actress idol like the girl from Battle Royale and Kill Bill V1... I don't know who she could be, though. I've just seen that AV term enough to know what it means...

I tried Ayumi's birthdate of "Oct 2 1978" about a thousand different ways (in addition to the one I'm supposed to try!), but no luck. I'm pretty sure it's not her... although they do look very similar.

Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I'm counting on you guys!

The only word in Romaji there is "MISAKI" ^^;;

But MISAKI could be the name of the baseball-team, a sponsor, name of a building, etc. (~_~)

I searched a while but after looking at the sites that are linked in the site itself(look for the modelcompany) I gave up...she isn't for SURE called Misaki

Since nobody gave a definite answer to this question, I guess I will.

Actually, to aoi sora: you made a pretty good guess, as the single romaji word in the whole article actually does happen to be that particular model's name.
