Ezo
Has anyone else heard of these guys? I was watching VH1 Classics, of all things, and they happened to show a video. I'd never heard of them until then. A japanese hair metal band...and no, not VK. A hair band that was actually from the 80s ^.^ I really want to hear more by them.

Thanks! Yeah, I've been looking around on the internet for them ever since. I think the video I saw was House Of 1,000 Pleasures. Pretty sure. Maybe. Perhaps...

I've had their stuff. Gene Simmons of KISS was their producer or manager, if I remember correctly. They rocked. Loudness was another J-hair-metal band. I actually liked them better. Mainly because their guitarist, Akira Takasahi, was/is SERIOUSLY talented, but also because they would lighten up on some songs where EZO was all heavy, all the time. "This Lonely Heart" is my favorite Loudness song, while "House of a 1,000 Pleasures" was my fave EZO piece. Either way, give them a listen. You're gonna rock.
Me? I'm just glad I never wore spandex! |

I'd never heard of Loudness until I started looking around for EZO stuff, but yeah, they seem like they would be good, too. But I guess my lack of knowledge could be exused considering I was just being born at the same time that they were making music.
![]() And when you mention a talented guitarist...I remember riding in my japanese friend's car listening to one of her CDs at one time, and she mentioned that the song that was playing was from an 80s group with one of the best guitarists she'd heard...I'll have to ask her about that. |

If it wasn't for my parents, I don't know if I ever would've had the appreciation for Dean Martin, Benny Goodman or Frank Sinatra that I do. |
