Before the holidays I had read that changes were in effect to Japan's entertainment visa in order to curb human trafficking. I understand that the visa will be harder to obtain, but does anyone know how this will affect/is affecting women already working in Japan as hostesses? Were there any talks about the Japanese government and the Philippine government working together to prevent trafficking?
I am doing research for a documentary film about Filipina hostesses in Japan. Also wondering what peoples' view are on the new changes to the visa, on the Japan side, and on the Philippines side. Kendhe |

Hi, I know this is an old post (I hope your doc is well underway or finished). If you are still looking for information regarding the effect of tightened requirements for obtaining entertainment visas, I am looking for the same - perhaps we can share information. I'll wait to here from you before posting more because you may not read this.
