McDonald's suit tossed

"I always believed McDonald's was healthy for my children."

McDonald's obesity suit tossed

U.S. judge says complaint fails to prove chain is responsible for kids' weight gain. A lawsuit alleging food from McDonald's restaurants is responsible for making people obese got thrown out by a federal judge Wednesday.

Where should the line be drawn between an individual's own responsibility to take care of herself and society's responsibility to ensure others shield her? The complaint fails to allege the McDonald's products consumed by the plaintiffs were dangerous in any way other than that which was open and obvious to a reasonable consumer," Sweet said in his ruling.

Amen! Btw, the very same can be said for tobacco companies.

"SORRY LADY but this is conveient(spell)and saves you the trouble of cooking"
Whats wrong with to-days mums??? all children reguire (just to stay healthy)5 portions of fruit, 5 portions of vegtables, 1 peice of meat,3 dairy produce,(?) just to maintain a heathy diet and to provide a lifetime of healthy eating habits!
(my opinion only) "she has more money that sence!!!"
forgive me please children should not be subjected to eating deep fryed food (X) amount of times a week just because its an easy alternative and it saves the mum the bother of preparing food and washing up of dishes,
OBESITY, is a way of life and not an illness, a struggle to change but it can be done, I feel so heart sorry for the people that have a medical reason(glans ect)that they are big bodied, they are to be sympathised with, but those of us who have to fry foods(beans, tomatoes, bacon, sausages ect,) its easy and quick!! but we all know that its unhealthy, I'll shut up now before I affend my-self as I'm not a skinny person but I have struggled against the gaining of weight all my life, Fryed food is my favorite, "I love it, but it doesnt love me"

Your children sure have a caring mom!

I can only agree with you. Getting obese and sueing others for your own greediness was even to much for the American legal system. It's good to know that things are "getting into proportion", lol.
