WHV (Working holiday visa) KOREA!!

Here are the new WHV Korea updated rules for Canadians, they are more flexible then the old rules but I think you still can't teach on this VISA, but you can do anything else as far as work is concerned like Hotel, office, or restaurant work. yeah it isn't Japan but close, its good for those who already used up their Japan WHV and want to desperately return to Asia. Give the Korean Embassy a call for more info.

Concerning the Working Holiday Program

As of January 1, 2005, the Working Holiday Program quota has been increased from 500 to 800 young people from each country (Korea and Canada).

Any Canadian citizen who is 18 to 30 years of age can apply for a Working Holiday Visa (H-1 visa)

It is highly recommended that any young Canadian who is interested in applying to this program, should make an application for their Working Holiday Visa in any of Korea痴 diplomatic or consular missions in Canada: Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver.

≫ With the H-1 visa, participants may stay in Korea for up to one year, versus six months for the regular visa.

≫ Participants will have the opportunity of traveling while working and experiencing Korea, paying for their travel as they go.

≫ Participants will benefit from being able to secure short-term employment [up to three months] with each employer, while enjoying an extended holiday plan in Korea.
