Takuma Sato
The new Formula 1 season has just started and i was wondering if there were any other F1 fans wishing the best for Takuma Sato this year. Unfortunatly hes not doing too well just yet, failing to get a qualifying time (though Michael Schumacher wasn't much better), but the season has only just begun.

You bet. As you can see I have Toransosuke Takagi as my avatar right now but I love Taku and have since the 2002 season. Unfortunatly he has #4 this year wich as we all know is very unlucky! Ukyo Katayama even had his # changed from 4 to 3 in 1995 even though Salo was faster in testing. I'm also a member of Taku's fan club

Konnichiwa Mina-san!
I like F1 too, but there is a shocking news. "Response.jp" is Car information site in Japan and they send out questionnaires about F1, "do you want to watch F1 race on TV?". Result "I don't want to watch" -- 40% "I want to watch F1 if circumstances(time zone of broadcasting) permit" -- 45% "I want to watch F1" -- 13% "I want to watch F1" is only 13% in Japan. information sources http://response.jp/issue/2005/0320/article69054_1.html NANGI |

Alot of people have lost interest due to the crappy rule changes. Basically Max Mosely and the FIA are scaring the fans away with thier stupidity. I'm a pretty hard core F1 fan and it takes alot to get me to watch a race these days simply because the rules stink.
Incase any of you were wondering, Taku did not participate in yesterdays Malaysian GP due to a high fever. Not that is mattered though because both BAR Honda's blew thier engines within the first 5 laps! He should be back for Bahrain and hopefull Honda will produce a engine that lasts more than 10 mins! |

I like the new rule changes. At least Schumacher isn't winning every race again. It gives the smaller teams a chance to do well.

Schumacher wins because he's a genuis...but the FIA purposely took away his greatest weapon wich was the ability to belt out several fast "in" and "out" by changing the rules to disalow tire changes. He's still doing well considering he's using a year old car agianst everyones new machines but he's not finished yet. It's sad that the FIA had to change the rules not once, but twice to stop Schumacher from winning. Hate him if you will people, but never deny that he's the best and that it was not the drivers that finally beat him but the FIA.

He didn't win every race. Last year there were 5 different race winners. Schumacher, Rubens, Kimi, Trulli and JPM. 5 different drivers and 4 different teams won races. That's pretty darn good in F1. Yet for some reason that wasn't good enough for the FIA and they felt the need to damage the sport even more by rolling out these utterly ridiculous new endurance race rules.
And Schumacher is the best, of his generation. Senna was the best of his generation. I don't like to compare them head to head becasue they were of different generations, different cars, different rules etc. |

Senna was the best, and Schumacher is now the best i agree. I just got bored of seeing him win with no real competition.

I'm a big fan of Takuma Sato, it's nice to see a Japanese racing driver that doesn't suck. Not to sound harsh, but Japan's F1 drivers haven't been the greatest.

佐藤琢磨
An interesting anecdote for those who are Japanese-literate:
a certain "liberal" (read: red) newspaper report → an official comment It is one thing that his father is one of those "intellectual" pro-communist lawyers. It does not necessarily mean that his stupidity must be used for anti-Japan smear campaign, since it is about international sports namely Formular One where winners are usually associated with national flags and the anthems. |
