Question dj krush

I've heard people talking about dj krush positively, and I'd like to buy one of his cds - had a look on Amazon and there's quite a few; can anyone recommend a good one for me?

Thanks.

I looooooooooove DJ Krush , so all the CD's are good, in my opinion.

Really, I don't know where to begin. I agree with Rock. You should download some tracks and see what you like.

One of my favorite tracks ever is "Skin Against Skin", which was featured in La Femme Nikita (the TV series). It features Deborah Anderson on vocals.

Some other good tracks:

DJ Krush ft. Jazzanova - Coffee Talk
DJ Krush ft. Mos Def - Shinjiro
DJ Krush ft. DJ Shadow and The Roots - Meiso (remix)
DJ Krush - 40 Winks
DJ Krush & Toshinori Kondo - Fu-Yu
DJ Krush ft. Esthero - Final Home
DJ Krush - Matsuri

Too many to name. I was trying to go through my collection, but everything is good.

As far as albums, maybe Code 4109(which includes Final Home and Coffee Talk) or Milight would be good to start off with, though. I don't know.

Thanks everyone; esp. Kirei na me - it was comments in a post you made in another thread that prompted me to try out dj krush. I ordered a cd from amazon called 'o' (kakusei); (too impatient to wait for everyone's replies...). If I like it I might get Milight next.

That's pretty neat... I know for sure that "Kakusei" was the first DJ Krush album I picked up (features "Final Home"), and IIRC I believe Milight was the second one I bought...

I agree with everything kirei_na_me said, especially about "Skin Against Skin" and "Final Home". Code4109 is an interesting album if you want to hear a long live mixing session... he works in some of these original tracks as well as works from other artists, including a personal fave of mine ("Dub Be Good to Me" from Beats International).

many of DJ Krush's works are very atmospheric
so if you are looking for something to dance to, DJ Krush isn't what you want
but hes great, i love his works

Does anyone know about his song which features a bamboo flute player?
I watched him playing this song on TV, I thought it was really neat but I don't know the song's name.

Thanks.

Edit:

It's alright, I got it "Still Island With Shuuzan Morita", yay!

So, I got the o (kakusei) album and I love it - really cool, atmospheric, thinking music. I also bought another one called just DJ KRUSH which is ok, but I think kakusei ranks highly in comparison. Thanks for all the tips everyone.

By the way, on a similar note - I'd quite like to have some Japanese hip-hop with some lyrics - a rap or some mc action which I can enjoy in Japanese. I wonder if any of you can recommend someone for that? I bought a DJ OASIS album back in 2001 and really enjoyed the japanese 'rapping', so I'm looking for something in that vein.
